It's all about executing. Don't look at his postseason touchdown numbers or his yards per attempt. He's crushing it right now.

Crushing it is a bit extreme. Thing is Mahomes isn't Eli or Joe. His expectations are MUCH higher. Good let him play at their level. We've already played two QBs that have been playing objectively better than he has.

both their wins should have been losses in the playoffs. Allen trying to go cowboy mode, instead of taking what KC gave him (plus a missed FG). And Lamar just not running the ball when there was massive lanes to do just that….Toss in a fluke fumble in the end zone and a Blatant no PI call that resulted in a INT.

Mahomes isn't beating teams, teams are shooting themselves in the foot.

SF has dealt with much more this playoff run imo

SF has just overcame to come from behind wins and Brock was a big part of that.

I like the optimism, but hard sell that Goff is playing better than Mahomes, I don't see that
now Goff has a lot more around him, and that made DET a threat

Why does KC get to use the Raider training facility and the Niners have to use UNLV? The Niners have the higher seed. The Raider facility is much better.

Vegas is an AFC city.

It's because this year is the AFC's turn to be the "home" team. It doesn't have to do with it being an AFC facility.
I thought going into this, if our defense & O-Line step up big, we should have a pretty good chance to win this…

Now After listening to most talking heads, now I'm not sure anyone can beat KC in the SB…
Sucks
Not to many think the 49ers can pull off a win.

Kyle is going to really have to stick to the run. Even if it's a struggle.

Next week it's supposed to rain all week in Santa Clara -- is the team going to be practicing in Vegas?

Mahomes is doing what he needs to do to get wins. 3 of his 4 best QBR's this season have come in the playoffs, 76.9% and 73.9% completion percentages last 2 games. The Ravens had the ball for 9 minutes total in the first half. They're slowing the game down and keeping control with a ball control offense, and I expect them to have the exact same gameplan against us. This won't be a shootout. The Chiefs are going to try to move the ball down the field slowly and methodically and win the time of possessions game, leaning on their defense.

Time of possession vs. Ravens was 37:30 - 22:30. That's an insane difference.

Chiefs D isn't filled with the big names that we have but they've got ballers across the defense. DL is great, Jones is still a wrecking machine and we'll have to make sure he doesn't kill us like in 2019. McDuffie and Sneed are the best set of corners we've played this year save maybe Cleveland and we know how that game went.

Kyle and Brock will have to be on their A game in this one and Brock may need to use his legs more cuz I think we'll have a lot of tight coverages to deal with in this one. Can't rely on flags to be thrown either...

Our WRs will need to make sure their hands are grabbing anything coming their way. Can't have tips/overthrows in this one. Everyone has to bring their best.

Just win, I don't care what the score is as long as we have more points than them.

He is an advanced game mgr. before he was always knowing he had to score on every possession because our defense couldn't stop anyone. He is perfectly fine with throwing for 225 with a touchdown and no mistakes. It is easier when he knows 24-28 pts is a winner. Anyone that thinks this D will give up 35 + is going to be disappointed. The Chiefs defense has been the most consistent all year. All levels are well above average.

I think our success is our ability to be multiple. KC loaded up vs the run, and that challenged BAL to either run into it or do some sort of quick game. I think BP can play faster and more precise than Lamar. I think our guys in space with the ball in their hands are more lethal than BALs guys. Might be a YAC type game, if KC wants to get on the LOS. If they don't we can pound em. So they pick their approach and we have answers either way.

And that's what scares me the most. If nobody gives you a chance then that means there's a good chance.

the unfortuante part is that our defense has been horrible about letting numerous teams do that against us all year. I have full trust in our offense to do their job, but it's the defense that concerns me. If they can be the elite defense we know they're capable of, stay disciplined, we will be alright.

but I'm very worried about them having 9+ play drives and long drives numerous times. Our defense is awful on third downs.

My concern as well. For whatever reason our defense has been absolutely atrocious at 3'rd down stops. Hopefully Wilks has this game more geared toward stopping the short and intermediate game. Line of scrimmage play is going to be the most important factor.
