There's only one game that really counts and that's all that is needed if his offense decides to show. Also, Chiefs didn't have Tyreek last year and they still whooped the Niners. It's like the chiefs is Kyle's kryptonite.

I'm not saying he won't do it again….im saying look at the body of work this yr. Lowest TD%, highest INT%, lowest QB rating, lowest YPA of his career.

We weren't the same time last yr as this yr. They've gotten worse. We've gotten better overall.

Highest INT% is the one that surprises me.

No, I get that. I'm just trying to be cautiously optimistic about the game

I get it…but whatever with Mahomes. You can't win every single game you play. He's amazing, but it's a team game. IMO our overall team is just much better than there's. Top to bottom it just is and that should matter. 49er fans with PTSD thinking he's Thanos and unbeatable

Doesn't surprise me, when you don't have wins on the perimeter, you are putting up contested catch tight window stuff, which can get picked. Also when balls are being volleyball tipped up into the air by wide open WRs, for INTs, yeah that doesn't help either. KC does a lot of run and a lot of screen game, ways to mask their deficiency of winning downfield on routes.

s**t happens to every QB. Not just him.

Yeah not being able to chuck it to a spot downfield for Hill to get, making things a little harder.

Mahomes being able to extend plays, so Kelce can run around trying to get open is their MO. Need to stop Kelce and have him force it elsewhere.

Mahomes year, in a nutshell. Pause at the catch and ask yourself how on earth this play ends up intercepted.

I don't no, I'm just fired up….ive been saying this is our year. We got the roster that's battled tested, we finally got the QB, we have the HC.

f**k Mahomes. f**k all the T swift b******t. f**k Reid. This is OUR YEAR. Ain't no one stopping it

KC not having Tyreek Hill this time, that's what's got me believing and I feel like it's an underrated storyline when it comes to judging the two teams. I was ecstatic when he went to Miami.
It helps that he's not on the team anymore, but the Niners played the chiefs last year and they didn't have tyreek but the score was still 44-23 chiefs.

Yeah, the last SB is ancient history for me, it's last year's game that concerns me. They out-schemed on offense and defense. Hopefully they can't play that card twice, and Kyle adjusts.

Yeah, and we started that game with a 10-0 lead too. Rewatching some of this we really should've put up WAY more points. I mean it should've been 31 minimum IMO.

Drives in the game last year that ended with 3 or less points because of a mistake:
-Aiyuk drop on 3rd and 3 in the red zone
-Jimmy double clutches and decides not to throw to open guy, gets sacked
-Penalty on FG attempt pushes us out of field goal range right before the half
-RIGHT AFTER THIS ^ the Chiefs muffed the punt and we got it back IN THE RED ZONE. Jimmy threw it up into the endzone for a pick the next play

Then, we also had a ton of other mental mistakes
-Gave up a big return and then an insanely late hit out of bounds setting up KC with a short field for easy points
-Multiple times Garoppolo took some REALLY BAD sacks late in the game, including one where he got chased down from behind for a safety.

On defense they stretched us out wide a LOT. Mahomes was constantly rolling out and they ran a bunch of jet sweeps. Offensively, we were able to move the ball, we honestly just had too many mistakes, especially from Jimmy IMO.

Overall, we have to play smart, clean football. We have to do better on defense on the edge obviously on D, and make sure we keep moving the chains on O.

Crazy, thanks for the re-watch analysis. I'd forgotten most all of this, all I remember is our defense; the sweeps, screens, and taking Bosa out of position a lot. If I recall, we weren't completely healthy either. I didn't realize so much other stuff went wrong on offense. this encourages me that points can be put up next week.
I think the trauma we suffered in 2019 got a lot of niners fans walkin on egg shells with low confidence.

It has more to do with us not playing very well against two incredibly mediocre teams in GB and Detroit and the Chiefs surprisingly easily handling two really good teams in the Bills and the Ravens. The Chiefs slept walk through the regular season out of boredom, doing just enough to win their division, but have turned it on in the postseason.
