🏆 SUPER BOWL LVIII PREGAME THREAD - SF 49ERS vs KC CHIEFS 🏆

That was totally PI, the defender bumped into Aiyuk and stopped his momentum, its the only reason the defneder was able to make a play on it... If Aiyuk didn't catch it, would've been a big no call... The fact that they even picked up the flag was blasphemy.

He was going for the ball, if that happened to our db y'all would be saying the same thing

Outstanding point by Levin Black. The most miserable man in the world the next 2 weeks, Mark Davis. His most hated rival and the Niners are coming in his stadium to play the Super Bowl lol.

I think even worse for him is that the Chiefs - arguably their biggest all time rivals - will be using the home locker/facilities.

lol nope.... Defender can go for the ball, but bumped into Aiyuk slowing him down hence the reason the defender actually has a chance for the pick..... PI or Illegal Contact if ball isn't in the air to 20/20 vision eyes.

@ 4 secs....

this isnt even a debate..

Patrick has 1 300 yard game in his last 12 outings. KC is a different beast than previous years. They rely on the defense and being more balanced. Nowhere near as dangerous as before.

I think both Detroit and GB were the bigger tests the only thing is if we f around like we did against those 2 things their coaching and qb aren't going to wilt. Come out strong like Shanny normally does and we got this.

Hope the Chiefs are choosing to wear their white jerseys for Super Bowl, probably with the red pants combo, (they've won 2 in a row on the road wearing these, so might be superstitious to keep donning them)—AFC as the designated "home team" has choice of what uniform to wear in even-numbered Super Bowls…

…means that the Niners would be in their home red jerseys on a grass field in Vegas.

All Niner Super Bowl wins have been:

1981: white jerseys / artificial turf
1984: red jerseys / grass
1988: red jerseys / grass
1989: white jerseys /artificial turf
1994: red jerseys / grass

The 2 losses have strayed away from the proven formula:

2012: red jerseys / turf
2019: white jerseys / grass

So if they're the designated "home team" almost positive they're gonna wear red jerseys with white pants. Guess we're screwed.

i was thinking of this and it's more about dome vs outdoor. All SB dome games we won 81/89 we were white. All outdoor games outdoor (84/88/94) we were red.

last couple losses weee opposite. 12 dome red jersey and 19 outdoor white.

we need to be indoor white to get back on track baby!!!!!!!

Take the L on this one.
Wait....the chiefs have 28th run defense ?! That tells me they are like us usually playing ahead.

Oh man we gotta pound that rock.
Deebo hasn't scored a touchdown yet in these playoffs. I think he is due!

You are forgetting about one key factor when it comes to Mark Davis, 💰 He won't be that miserable with all the money he makes.
Very rarely in life do you get a true chance at revenge. The chiefs and Niners had a lot of turnover since 2019, but the core remains intact. The core for the chiefs are Mahomes, Kelce, Chris Jones, and Reid. There's probably a few others but that's it for me. Our core is Bosa, Deebo, Warner, Greenlaw, Kittle, and Kyle.

For the love of all things just and pure, exact sweet revenge against these Jabronis

They don't have hill anymore and that's a big help
Thought we would have more NFL fans rooting for us against the Swifty Team, but the it seems like most are saying they won't even watch.

No doubt Defensive PI and No doubt a 15 yard penalty on forcible helmet to helmet hit on Purdy while he is down on the ground.

OK I just looked up the aiyuk catch. There was a flag thrown, then after the refs discussed it the announcement was, "There is no foul on the play. The catch was made and the receiver was downed by contact on the 3.5 yard line". Why did they pick up the flag?? I know it doesn't matter in the end, but it is curious.
It's f'ing b******t because the PI is the reason the db was in position to make the play. This totally pisses me off.

Nah that wasn't PI

It was illegal contact at the 20 yard line. Watch it multiple times now
