Defense needs to watch film and what plays the chiefs run outta different looks and see what kinda package they should run. The defense should work on swarming the ball handler. And keep Mahomes moving within the pocket where he takes his eyes off the field for a few moments. Cause the niners need to mix stuff like fronts and stunts. They been playing base defense and teams are doing crack tosses and sealing the edge. Thats cause bosa and young have their hands in the dirt and cant see when the crack block is coming. Put Bosa and young in the B gap, Blitz Lenior. Wilks can do so much with this defense and he is just playing them straight up. Like mix coverages with different fronts and stunts. Look how Spagnola runs his defense. He has a completely different gameplan every week. Or MacDonald. They have amazing gameplans every week

You guys realize this is the practice facility at a college, right? This isn't the stadium where the super bowl will be played lol

I don't think they would deck out a practice field like that. And especially with the Chiefs logo on it…

The super bowl is in a dome. That is the practice field

49er fans should sneak in and change that practice field to the turf from the Jets stadium.

Niners have been to 6 championships and 3 Super Bowls in the last decade. Been knocking on the door with some great teams. Just fell short at the very end. Not very similar to the situation you wrote below

We had some good regular season teams with Marty and Vermeil. Marty had like a .730 regular season record and .230 in the playoffs. We ran the ball too much and had poor Qb play. He never even went to a SB after winning 13 or 14 games. It was brutal.

Harbaugh and Kyle won plenty of playoff games. Every year they went to the playoffs they ended up in the championship game or SB. Not similar to Marty Schottenheimer and Vermeil. Yes, they ultimately come up short in those championship/SB games. But to say they fell short in playoffs games, comes across as selling them short to try and make a weak connection.

The Niners have stepped up against some top ranked defenses all season. They struggled against the AFC north but there are 3 playoff teams in that division alone. Spags is an awesome defensive coordinator but Brock, CMC, Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, Jennings and Trent paving the way is a real hard task for any team. KC is beatable and this is the year to get the 6th. Go Niners!!!

Big mistake to underestimate the Niners defense. They're inconsistent and they take awhile to warm up, but once the they're focused and rolling they're dangerous. Ask the Lions and Packers how easy it was after halftime

They've got 2 weeks to prepare on defense to stop KC's offense. Detroit and Green Bay had more weapons. Kelcie is going to get his but they've got to put big hits on him and stop Pacheco's run game. I think they will throw a lot of screens against us.

We haven't seen it as a rivalry since Favre. We never had an issue beating Rodgers, and your defense has never been very good, so I don't think we've been afraid to play you since.

So the thing is, these 20/30 somethings are not regular people, they're million dollar athlete's, they can go back to Vegas and "get turnt" any other time of the year. It helps when San Francisco is not very far

I don't think it's unrealistic to expect guys to focus for 1 week and then tell them they can go nuts after they win. These guys make major money. Be professional. Its not that hard.

I'm on a job right now. Football is their job. Now if Kyle gives them a job to do and a curfew I expect them to follow it. If Kyle says they get a couple trips to the city early on then so be it. When he says to bring it in bring it in. Now for QBs like Brock there literally is no play time just film study and game plan review. For a DB you might get a couple days to hang out early on and other position groups but when it's time to lock in you lock in because that's the job in which you're paid very handsomely to do

I get it, you don't want to restrict these guys when some need to relax a bit during a tense time. But I don't think its unfair to ask them to stay focused for one week and stay away from potential distractions. Theres a reason the NFL has told these guys to stay out of the casinos, and why both teams are booked at hotels that are way outside of town. There has to be ways to enjoy yourself around the area their hotel is in that don't require going to the strip.
