You've been smoking too much of that midwest meth if you think Brock is merely a game manager.

He is a product of your offense,, nothing more. Jimmy G looked like a pro bowler in that system. Enough said

Drugs are bad.

You can tell he's been watching the sports talk shows where everyone shouts at each other.

Probably has a portrait of Nick Wright hanging on his wall.

I really can't stand that idiot. Is there a more punchable face in all of media???

Niners have a better roster, healthier than KC going into SB, more offensive weapons, we finally have a QB we've been needing for years. If the Niners don't pull this off, it'll be an utter failure and disappointment.

Or maybe it'll be just one game where the defending champs played a bit better.

Not everything has to be so over the top dramatic.

Bless your little Midwestern heart….if you're gonna come to another team's fan forum, at least be educated enough on their team to speak/debate about it.

Otherwise you sound like another babbling day time sports analyst, who knows nothing

What's so over the top dramatic about it? They're back in Super Bowl and it'll be very disappointing if they lose. Pretty sure the WZ will be a hot mess because of it.

Consider:
The line has gotten as low as Niners -1.5 ... The current line is -2 to -2.5 depending on the book.
75-80% of the tickets AND the money is on KC. Vegas refusal to adjust the line accordingly is very telling. It's an anomaly to be sure, but it is a case where Vegas, with a Niners win, stands to make a s**t ton of money, not just the 10% on the juice.

Why do you suppose then, Vegas isn't moving the line?

Exactly.

the theory is that there was a lot future betting on the Niners during the regular season that they would win the SB. They were +700 at the beginning of the season and +1000 at week 1. If the Niners win, there will be all those bets to pay out which has higher payouts than against the spread bets. . Probably a lot of future bets were on the Ravens so when KC got in, they needed the against the spread bets to balance out the future bets on the niners. They lknow how much money is coming in on both sides. Vegas doesnt care necessarily who wins, they just want to balance the wagers to win the vig. .

I agree with you on this. I did not take in to account the futures that pay out 7-1, 10-1, etc... That's a lot to have to cover on the back end, and certainly would explain why Vegas is happy to keep the line as is... The heavy KC bets would help cover the Niners futures with a 6th Lombardi coming home. Good take...

I was trying to make the point that Purdy is a fine quarterback.. not great..not bad.. If the Niners win it won't be because of him.
I'm sure the Niners will pick up another late round quarterback in a couple of years and he will look like an all pro also.

Mahomes usually beats people in the playoffs and Super Bowl. It's an annual tradition. We have a shot but so do they. A big one on their part.

Every time you post you sound a little dumber than your previous post... You should stop.

Can you back up your reasoning for Purdy not being great and not being bad? Stats usually is a good indicator.

Right. It's not like the Niners are favored by 15 or something.

Disappointment, sure. Utter failure? No. They got to the Super Bowl. If they lose to a dynasty team that isn't utter failure. It's coming up short against a historic opponent.

Yes. Stats in a Shannarat system.

When it comes to Brock is a product of the system, I am surprised more ppl don't mention, Skylar Thompson:

consider MIA took a 7th round QB, in the same draft class as Brock Purdy
MIA in 2022 was coached by Mike McDaniel, from the KS tree
MIA that year, had probably the best WR duo in the game
MIA ended up playing their QB3, Skylar Thompson, the same year when Brock also debuted as QB3

Skylar Thompson bombed. The elite surroundings did nothing for him.

You have to be at least functional and a lot of guys aren't. Not everyone can succeed in SF, just mention two words, Trey Lance.

All QBs that played in Walsh's or Mike Shanahan's systems were not great because they had too much help. Get Montana, Young and Elway out of the Hall of Fame. Frauds.

Please provide those stats. You're in another teams forum blabbing but not backing it up with anything.

Can you list the QBs in history who were top 5 in the league in passing yards and bottom 12 in attempts for the season?
Can you name the QB who has had the highest passer rating through his first two seasons in history?

Start there, please.
