If the Chiefs ever need a great offensive coordinator I would love to have Kyle there.
Andy the choker for 20 years lol. Couldn't do it with any "avg" QBs. Needed to luck into a generational QB who makes his pay by running mostly off structure plays.
I was around for all of Reid, and he wasn't ever regarded as a choker from my view. Maybe getting clock mgmt wrong, and run pass splits wrong. I think choker fair or not more follows Kyle from the SB51 and 54 outcomes, and the NFCCG outcome up 10. The QB McNabb got some blame for choking, due to his rumored throwing up in the huddle.
He absolutely was looked at as a choker……and clock management and being perceived a choker go hand in hand
Maybe he was, I still think Kyle gets more of that rap, whether fair or not. Kyle had to start his intro press conference as HC talking about SB51, which I don't view as fair. It was an all time choke job but I never viewed it as on Kyle. I think clock mgmt is a challenge when you are both HC and calling plays on O. It can be a lot on one person. McNabb took more heat than Andy imo.
It's not a maybe ….
If you go back to the SB, McNabb was branded the choker, a lot more than Andy. They say he threw up in the huddle, and was not well conditioned enough, to go no huddle. Owens called him out. That was the narrative. Papa Shanny actually bought into late career McNabb and he was known as fat McNabb. He had a bit of a gut. Papa Shanny is actually quoted on McNabb's fitness and not able to do the hurry up in WAS. McNabb was a really good QB early on, but his fitness does have a lot of questions over his playing career.
