Why is this field thing so freaking hard to solve? You have High Schools all over the country that have Field Turf. It's designed to hold up to monsoon rains. It doesn't matter how much rain or snow or sunshine or wind. They have drainage underneath built right in. Why can't you move the rest of the week practice there? It's the Super Bowl. This is absurd. Further they have Junior College's around that play football. Also with Field Turf. Must be some in the greater Las Vegas area. Why can't you move there?

Who the hell comes up with the idea to lay loose sod over Field Turf anyway. No dirt underneath to support it. 1 week prior to coming. I mean come on. That doesn't even make basic common sense.

Walkthrough on the swamp. You can work out in the gym and use the hot tubs and ice baths. Practice somewhere else more stable on Field Turf.

Yeah, I'm just hoping that we can get quality enough reps to where it doesn't affect us during the game.

You just move the full speed stuff to some place else. They probably got a high school down the street. Slow speed walk throughs are fine even in a swamp. Sometimes you just do a walkthrough to discuss a strategy or situation. Not everything is full speed. That's fine in the swamp. Your shoes get muddy. But they can clean and dry that.

We'll see what they do, if anything. I have helped lay sod in the past, so I also share your confusion as far as the decision to just lay it on top of field turf is concerned. It all seems very weird to me.

Is there some kind of controversy?

Are they trying to say he was handed the starting job due to injury?

Kyle's in his 7th year and he's in his 2rd Superbowl as a HC- he's well ahead of Andy's pace already...

Who is "we"? The overwhelming majority of 49ers fans love him.

There are a lot of 49ers fans who give Kyle grief for not winning a Superbowl.

Once the NFL slated Vinovich for this game, it means we will get zero penalties in the game. He was the same dirty ref who allowed KC to hold the entire Super Bowl that SF was dominating. I still remember the 3rd and 15 where every SF D lineman was being held so Mahomes could have 30 seconds to throw a 40 yard pass to a hill which changed the game and allowed KC to score.

You said we, no need putting it on other fans. I for one get agitated hearing the media put the 28 to 3 falcons collapse on Kyle, and not on their defense or their head coach.

If the 49ers defense actually shows up right off the bat then it'll be a game that comes down to who has the ball last. This one has close game written all over it.

I would say If the niners D shows up, they will most likely win unless offense is really bad
I think people really underestimate how good the Packers and Lions are. They look at us struggling vs them as a way to knock us down and say we are not playing good. Maybe those two teams are just very good. The Lions had a better record than the Chiefs this season and they beat them. Packers also beat the Chiefs and that was late in the season and they were one of the hottest teams heading into the playoffs. They went into Dallas and destroyed them. So maybe it wasn't so much us struggling but more about those 2 teams playing at a high level.

I also find it funny that Chiefs think they will destroy our defense because we gave up 31 to the Lions. The Lions have a much better offense than the Chiefs. Chiefs scored 371 points this season and the Lions scored 461. The Packers even scored more than the Chiefs.

I thought this was a really good analysis from an experienced handicapper. His perspective on picking the niners to win is that he believes the defense's drop in performance is less likely to continue for a 3rd game in a row than the Chiefs maintaining their offense's improvement during the playoffs when looking at all the factors involved, which he does.

That video actually made me feel way better about our chances.

i heard on the radio that the largest bet placed was $500k on the niners to outright win

What I've read in several places now is that the public is all on the Chiefs, but sharps are betting on the niners, which explains why the line has had such little movement despite the large volume of bets on the Chiefs.

The ESPN article mentioned a fan who dropped a cool million on the Niners.

And!!!! Both the Packers and Lions beat the Chiefs, people tebd to forget that. So they beat the Ravens in the playoffs big f**kin deal, the Ravens always choke in the playoffs with Lamar.
