Why is this field thing so freaking hard to solve? You have High Schools all over the country that have Field Turf. It's designed to hold up to monsoon rains. It doesn't matter how much rain or snow or sunshine or wind. They have drainage underneath built right in. Why can't you move the rest of the week practice there? It's the Super Bowl. This is absurd. Further they have Junior College's around that play football. Also with Field Turf. Must be some in the greater Las Vegas area. Why can't you move there?

Who the hell comes up with the idea to lay loose sod over Field Turf anyway. No dirt underneath to support it. 1 week prior to coming. I mean come on. That doesn't even make basic common sense.

Walkthrough on the swamp. You can work out in the gym and use the hot tubs and ice baths. Practice somewhere else more stable on Field Turf.

Yeah, I'm just hoping that we can get quality enough reps to where it doesn't affect us during the game.

You just move the full speed stuff to some place else. They probably got a high school down the street. Slow speed walk throughs are fine even in a swamp. Sometimes you just do a walkthrough to discuss a strategy or situation. Not everything is full speed. That's fine in the swamp. Your shoes get muddy. But they can clean and dry that.

We'll see what they do, if anything. I have helped lay sod in the past, so I also share your confusion as far as the decision to just lay it on top of field turf is concerned. It all seems very weird to me.

It's completely crazy. Steve Young said so.

Would it take 1 week to grow in? Because that's what they did. I understand they just put mostly sod down too. Not much foundation of dirt below it. Which also seems weird. Wouldn't you need some underlying dirt too?

According to pro football talk Kyle was satisfied with practice, so maybe my worry about quality reps was for not.

I personally like 14 in the 4th because that last FG for the chiefs to tie is just too easy in the NFL.

OK fine. What about the ones I asked you? If you know sod and the details. What do you think?

Chiefs go into their home, without a real WR or bonafide RB, and then beat them.

Reality is harsh sometimes. Right now, need luck, some very good bounces, defense plays their best game of the season, and "any given Sunday".
Let's hope for the best.

Disagree.
SF - 429 total yards. - 308 passing yards - 131 rushing yards

Baltimore - 343 total yards - 241 passing yards- 102 rushing yards

If not for 1 bad decision and SEVERAL great bounces off deflected balls, we win that game. But when the box score showed 4 interceptions, the world thought Purdy and the team blew it. I'd rather be playing Baltimore Sunday than KC.

Kyle's in his 7th year and he's in his 2rd Superbowl as a HC- he's well ahead of Andy's pace already...

I am still suspicious you are a bot BUT you make a point I have been trying to hammer on.

Andy didn't win a superbowl until he had an elite QB and a lifetime of trying.

Yet somehow Kyle is trash for not having won one in 7 years without an elite QB.
(note: Purdy may very well be an elite QB - its a little early to call but he is on his way.)
To Just be Brock Purdy for this game. You've gotten us here. Calm… cool… assassin…

Tackling complexity with finesse; it's an intellectual rollercoaster worth riding.

This blows. Timing won't be chrisp if we practice on that. Kyle should just say F it to Goodell and fly the team home and practice in Santa Clara. They have completed their media duty, focus on the game and return Saturday.

Then there is a fatigue and jet lag disadvantage. May as well play through it. The top seed that won the most games gets the s*** field. Go figure!

No jet lag on a 1hr flight. Same time zone too.

Only Parade I went to was 2010 SF Giants, it was so awesome. I imagine a Niners parade will be INSANE

The determinative factor was KC's defense and Baltimore's horrible offensive game plan, not the fact they didn't have a real WR or "bonafide RB." I would also say that Pacheco is substantially better than any healthy RB on Baltimore's roster. Baltimore had a weakness and KC exploited it -- nothing at RB and inexperience/lack of elite WRs.

KC basically played well on offense for a quarter and a half, then Baltimore kicked them down.
Play good defense and we will win. That simple. There is zero reason for our defense not to put out a SB performance on Sunday. SHOW UP!
