I personally like 14 in the 4th because that last FG for the chiefs to tie is just too easy in the NFL.

As long as we're at least 1 point ahead when the clock hits 0:00 I'm good.

I agree, but that sounds stressful.😂😂😂😂

Yup, but it does help the stress if your QB can spot John Candy in the stands.

I know that Super Bowl MVP is typically an offensive player but who on D could pull that off and what would they need to do?

Warner with a pick 6 and forced fumble recovered by 49ers. A defender would need multiple splash plays while neither offense stands out.
Warner, my pick for SB MVP, I think it will be a defensive game. Malcom Smith was SB MVP in 2014, 6 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception, that's what I got for AP Fred

That's what happens when scouts Uber focus on physical traits. You miss out on the players with the truly special traits that make a great qb. Don't get me wrong, you need certain physical requirements, but Brock is like 1/4 an inch shorter than Mahomes and same hand size - Mahommes obviously has a lot better arm talent but let's not act like Brock is some pip squeak. Lol

people just chase what's sexy and not what is always the best option. Bree's, Brady, Montana had nothing stellar about their physical ability - the best physical trait of all three combined was Brady's height and montanas early mobility, which was good but nothing special. Lol

It makes them look stupid, terrible and like they don't know their job. Like they are a failure at their job (which they are). But they can't have that. It might even get them fired. That's the problem.

They are calling plays based on probabilities. I love how Brady thinks about it. Key with Brock is giving him players that can consistently beat bad probabilities. I.e. he can call an audible and hand it off to CMC, the way Brady could hand it off to Legarret Blount.

Show's you how important the Coach/GM relationship is.

Yep, we learned that the hard way from 2011-2014.
Purdy needs to forget about being a hero and just throw to the hot route every time a Chief defender goes unblocked on a well called blitz because Spagnouolo is great at disguising his blitzes.

Whn your hot route is CMC you only have to give him the ball and he'll get the job done.

Shanahan Rule: Need to be up by 10+ pts with <7:00 mins left in the 4th….or 25+ pts with one half left to play (to feel safe).

That's eerily familiar. "Hey Harris look, it's John Candy."

That made me think of that as well. I don't remember Joe doing impressions, but I'm sure both approaches are highly effective ways to break the tension during a game.

Agreed.

We've proven we have the opportunity to come from behind. In spite of that, I hope we can avoid that situation, as it would be considerably harder to do with Mahomes on the other side.
