an overwhelming majority of people who gamble, lose. it's just a fact. the smart money is on the 49ers. Vegas stands to make a fortune if KC loses. the money is adding up in our favor. it's a good thing.
last thing you want are the casinos standing to make a ton of money if we lose.
Vegas could not give a s**t who wins. They are just covering their butts. As a couple of us have explained, we don't understand the future money that was bet on these teams. I doubt much was bet on the Chiefs the way they played this year, while I'm sure the 49ers got a lot of play. Vegas tries very hard not to get lopsided on any bet. They do realize ( unlike many on here) that the Chiefs could win. You don't build fancy casinos putting large chunks of money at risk.
"Ahead of Week 10, the Chiefs were the favorite to win the Super Bowl followed by the Eagles and 49ers. The odds changed following that week when the Eagles beat the Chiefs 21-17 in Kansas City ahead of Thanksgiving. Now two of the league's heavyweights and fan favorites will settle the score with the Super Bowl LVIII winner hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
Kelce is the most-bet player with the most money to score the first touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII. But FanDuel reports Chrisitan McCaffrey has the most money bet to score an anytime TD in the Big Game"
"Nearly 80% of the spread handle (money) is supporting Kansas City, and about 75% of the overall spread bets are on the Chiefs," FanDuel reports from its online sportsbook data from 21 states."
sportsbooks stand to make the most if the chiefs lose… the books aren't even, it's heavily favored for the chiefs. Sportsbooks take 10% no matter what but the chiefs are under dogs and a majority of money is on them, which means the sportsbooks/casinos prefer the chiefs lose. Lol
