🏆 SUPER BOWL LVIII PREGAME THREAD - SF 49ERS vs KC CHIEFS 🏆

No QB threw as deep, as often as Purdy. Purdy was 20th in attempts. Yet was 5th in 10+ throws, 1st in 20+, 30+ & 40+ throws. It's just absurd they think he's a dink-and-dunk QB.

Big daddy Brady didn't always throw bombs either. He distributed the ball to the right guy cos it was the right play. These haters gonna stfu when Purdy wins it all this year.

31% of his total overall yards has come as a 49er.

That's incredible because he's only been here for a season and a half.

That's what happens when a RB gets to play with an elite QB.
Has a FB ever won MVP? Would be pretty crazy if Juice lights them up in the receiving game lol

They aren't gonna stfu... they are gonna hate on him more. Book it.

And f**k 'em.

In the Webzone? Yes. I can hardly wait for the game to start so the regular boo birds come out to tell us what a failure Brock is, or how Kyle really isn't a good coach, or how the 49ers aren't that good, or one of a million things we hear from these accounts. Until the team begins to win, and in that case, the boo birds vanish.

My best guess is that Reid will try to sock it to the 49er defense early. Both the Packers and Lions pulled this off with great success. It was not successful in the long run, but did show a weakness. I expect that Reid will try to exploit that.

My greatest desire is that Brock does his best Brock and dominates like we know he can from the first snap till the last. A blowout? Fine by me.

Now why would they want more money on the Chiefs? Hmmmm

Because they like to print money?

Because they have a large liability on the books for futures bets where 49ers picked 9ers to win Super Bowl at favorable odds. They are balancing it out, that and I've heard most of the sharp money has come in on 9ers which would be at larger dollar value than the majority of the small bets coming in on Chiefs. Their goal is to split action to grantee money, not gamble.
we Have to stop the chiefs from scoring in their first drive. Both of the last two games the momentum didn't let up til late in the game after we got scored on. If we can stop them on their first drive (since we defer every time) I like our chances at a blowout. If they score at will on the first drive it's gonna be another heartpounder til the end

I would like to see Trent get it. With no touches. Just blocking recognition

I stepped away from the Miami game for a little bit and came back and saw Purdy playing. My initial thought was "well, the season's over." By the end of the game, however, I thought the Niners may have found a gem. Miami was pretty good last year and that was a critical game and Brock was clearly not in over his head.

Everyone younger than their early 30s won't have a clue of what I'm talking about, but the only other time I distinctly remember that happening during a single regular season game was with Trent Green way back in the late 90s. Green went into that season as the #3 QB for the Deadskins. Hostetler got hurt in the preseason and Frerotte got hurt in the first regular season game. Green comes in and immediately looks better than Frerotte. The difference is Green was around 28 already and simply not gotten a chance prior to that point. Norv Turner decided immediately after the game that Green was going to start the rest of the year.

Green wasn't a scrub, he made the Pro Bowl twice. Ironically, he got hurt the next year for the Rams and was Wally Pipped by Kurt Warner.

I remember Brady replacing Bledsoe, but Brady during those first 2-3 years wasn't as good as Bledsoe at his peak. Purdy immediately looked better than Jimmy G.

I knew it their practice fields are absolutely substandard after all and it was done on purpose. On top of that some asshat pulls the fire alarm in their hotel early this morning. Is anyone surprised the outcome of this game is a bunch of rigged BS?

Niners will come out firing. I have stayed at that Lake Las Vegas Hilton, and the mirrors there will have you confident. There is nothing better than going into a room of mirrors to see your real self. Chase Young, Ambry Thomas, the offensive line, Drey and the linebackers, Kyle and even George Kittle will be look in the mirrors and see deeply into their own souls. There is no better way to see "The Truth". It will make you scream, repent and then recondition yourself and come out stronger.

The mirrors at the Las Vegas Hilton will win us the Super bowl.

No, bad practice field, fire alarms being pulled, no police escorts to practice. Just feels like there's some force in the universe that's against SF
People forget Purdy was the Big 12 Player of the year, there were some bigtime players in that conference and to win it at Iowa State is a big deal, Purdy is a baller and always has been

Like Steve Young said the 49ers are going to have to take it, no one is doing them favors. Stop with the crap and excuses and step up Niners, time to take it from bloody hands!!

Good Gawd do you guys really believe they want 10's if not hundreds of millions on one side of a NFL game because they assured the Chiefs will lose? I agree wholeheartedly that there are more avenues for victory for the Niners. I also agree that the chances of a blow out by 16 points favor the Niners. But for one game none of that s**t matters. VEGAS DOES NOT GAMBLE WITH THEIR MONEY. Only us idiots do.

Thats right. They are in the business of making money. So why would they continue to provide incentive for people to put money on the Chiefs?

It's just business. No emotion.
