Teams/the league will set aside a certain # of tickets for players to use. Players have to buy them though.

I'm not sure how they allocate tickets now but they used to have a drawing for each team. In the 80s there were about 15000 tickets allocated to each team. The others went to corporate sponsors and big wigs. Now the tickets are way more expensive. $8100 for the cheapest compared to $100 for the 49er-Dolphin SB at Stanford. People complain about food prices going up. What about entertainment prices?

Not surprised. The face value for thr cheapest ticket is $8100. The average is about $9800. I wouldn't pay that to sit on the 50.
