How do we fix this?

The problem I see is we have quite a few more holes in our team than people realize. And this is due to the last few drafts where we have sucked for the most part.

-Everyone knows about our oline. That's 2-3 players needed alone there.
-We need a safety to replace Gipson. Unless are planning to role with Huff and Brown? That's not much speed in the back end.
-Need a CB.
-Still need another DE.
-Need a run stuffing DT.
-Need probably 2 LBs. All we have is Warner and Greenlaw. Our backups suck and now Greenlaw has a serious injury.
-Probably need to look at WR. We won't be able to afford to keep Jennings more than one year.
-Still need a TE to backup Kittle. Kittle is getting up there in age and is somewhat injury prone other than a healthy year this year.

Greenlaw may never be the same, he has Achilles tendonitis and has been dealing with it for some time. As violent as he plays, this may be a constant for him, even after surgery.

It hurts to say, but I think we trade Kittle, Deebo, let our safety walk, let most of the Dline walk, find a new DC. Someone more aggressive.

Start from there. I think Lynch will also need to address play calling with Kyle. He may be brilliant, but he gets stuck in ruts and hurts the team at times.

Any one of those things is "fixed" the 49ers win yesterday. s**t happens.

Apparently that means we trade everyone, fire our head coach and cut everyone People get too emotional and their brain doesn't work

Kyle has been outscored 79 to like 26 in the second half in three superbowl's. The players didn't know the overtime rules last night. Kelce told the Chiefs that the 49ers didn't know how to win the SB before the game. He has no hot routes for the blitz. There is a serious problem at head coach.

makes it even worse as Purdys strength is supposed to be quick processing and doing well against the blitz.

Some truth to the back up LB point but Greenlaw was out for most of the game that includes the first half. We lost that game in the 4th and OT. I dont care what Ryans and Saleh did....it worked for that time and place.

Did it work for Saleh his first yr? No it didn't. Wilks hasn't been here for years like Ryans.

they did the same s**t ran quarters/C3 and rushed 4. Nothing has changed scheme wise. You just don't remember past yrs and are just upset and emotional right now.

Mahomes attacked the middle of the field with the TEs and slot guys. The backup LBers were vulnerable. Also guess what, Kelce is really f**king good. Him and Mahomes play backyard football. It's choice routes and just being in sink with each other. No one has been stopping that for years.

That great ravens D that everyone had a hard on over, let Kelce do his thing.

end of the day stop making it so difficult….we had an 11pt swing off of the OPOY fumbling it and special team f**k ups. Dats it.

Wilks is a veteran with HC experience..... He shouldnt need years to figure it out. Its scheme, his play calling and clearly cannot motivate. Scheme or not, this defense has not played up to its capabilities this year and it's on Wilks.

I think they need OL help on the offense. This will give the QB more time to pass plus help the run game.
Last they need a backup LB to replace Greenlaw when he is injured. Greenlaw is injured at some point every year. Unfortunately because of injury in the Super Bowl he will probably miss some time next year.

I think depth on the D-line is more important than a high corner. we were all over Pat in the 1st half and the rush kept getting worse and worse as we had zero depth to rotate and out guys got gassed.

losing guys like ebukam, omenihu and Willis really hurt us, we just couldn't trust anyone else and ran our line into the ground

If we're going to continue having sideline bumblef&@$ Kyle calling plays then we will need a super dominant dline. No exceptions, In the next SB in 2027 maybe one of his 10 passes in the first 3 drives to start the second half will connect.

That's the reason they f**king lost lol.

Everyone in here is complaining about s**t that isn't broken. You can always upgrade here and there. That goes without saying.

it's hard for any team to overcome an 11pt swing in a SB vs Mahomes.

I think they still would have won with better protection though. Shanny/Lynch need to look at how much they have invested in certain players vs what they are getting for them. We have pro-bowl RB/FB/TE two pro-bowl WRs and a very good 3rd, one of the best OT in NFL history, a good QB, but the rest of the OL gets shredded.
I don't know how you can fix this. This team is in a pickle. We have what many consider the best roster in football, but we can't win the big one. It is unlikely the roster gets better than it is now. Everyone is a year older, have the wear and tear of multiple extended playoff runs. We have big decisions on some players in the next 2 seasons. We have a lot of money tied up in people that don't show up when needed (ex. Deebo and kittle count for 35m and had 5 catches for 40 yards combined).

I think our window is closing fast. We may have one more shot at it before this roster is overhauled in a big way.
How do we have a better roster than this next year? It's not possible. The problem is the coach yet he isn't going anywhere. I don't see how we get better next year.
I"ll be honest. The way to fix the team is for me to stop being a fan. My teams never win the championship in any sport.

You have guys like Luke Kuechly saying he's the best coach he's ever had. I'm sorry I'll take his word over some rando in a fan forum.

yeah you're right he should just know how to run an defensive scheme inside and out that he's never run before. If it was that easy every coordinator would be great lol.

b***hing about a defense that let up 19pts to Mahomes in 4QRs and had to overcome 11pt swing because of a fumble/ST f**k ups

just say you're super emotional and trying to toss blame on whatever you can…that would make way more sense

Agreed, though I actually think Burford will be good, just had too many mental farts. Mcivitz has to go.

Thought we played a great game, injuries definitely disrupted us. Thought Kyle called a great game, loved the decision to go for it on 4th in the the 4th quarter.

The new OT rules cost us, think it's obvious that you let them go first and try to match, you get clarity when to go on 4th down.

Next year resign Aiyuk, draft a RT and come back swinging. Still think we're comfortably the best team in the NFC

our defence was gassed at the end of regulation. Had we deferred, the D would just been demolished. I have no problem with taking the ball on the first possession.

Shanhan the problem? Just a reminder Jerry Jones thought that anybody can will with the Cowboys when he fired Jimmy Johnson, we have seen how that works.
We have also seen how it worked when we fired Harbaugh (although, he took over a loaded team and has not drafted or developed players well, see Kaeprnick, Colin).
Half of the league is copying Kyle´s scheme, he called a good game this year, the difference, Mahomes will find a way.
Not containing him, costed us. the only way to beat him is the way Tampa did it,
Jimmy Johnson had won two championships at the time of his firing so it's not a valid comparison and as idiotic as Johnsons firing was how it turned out was they won another SB with Barry freaking Switzer.

Run the ball more with CMC In the 3rd Q and we most likely win too.

Free rushers are free rushers regardless of who's in there. They don't need elite pass rushers to get pressure. Same s**t that the Ravens do (and what Seattle will be doing now).

blitzing and how to play it is more on the QB then on anything else. That's how KC gets their pressure and has for years.

one thing that no one talks about is how SF is constantly losing good coaches. That s**t hurts on multiple levels. You know who doesn't lose coaches for some f**king reason? The chiefs.

Spags been rolling that defense out for years. He's finally got everyone on the same page and the personnel he wants. In order to blitz like that you need the coverage. You need everyone on the same page. You can add wrinkles to it because you have the confidence that the guys will be where they need to be because they've been running it forever….its no different then BB in NE.

I have been as critical of his playcalling and clock management in the previous SBs as anyone but I don't think this was the case yesterday. Kyle called a fine game IMO, s**t just went wrong at bad times.

They ran a lot even with CMC getting stuffed more than usual.
They were in position to win.
Kelce is a f**king idiot talking s**t.

If there's someone they love, move up. This draft is FULL of good OL talent. I would resign Feliciano

Agree.

It's time to fix the problem.

We don't need another all-pro, we just need starter-caliber guys out there.
