In the end it came down to overtime against the defending sueprbowl champions. I would say try to bring back as much of the best parts as we can. And hope we draft well. Biggest needs are OL, CB and DL. I think we will lose Jennings but everyone else of real worth we should be able to bring back. We could think about trading one of our big contract players but I doubt we will. It wont be easy to bounce back and get back here next year that is for sure.

Also gotta be better with time management. I still don't understand trying to throw it after the 2 minute warning. 3rd and 4 at least run the ball and force them to call a TO. Now you're giving the ball back to Mahomes with 1:57 left and 2 timeouts. If CMC gets it down to 4th and 1 now you have a choice. You get that 1st down and the game is over.

Eh… superbowls aren't meant for us boys. That's something we did a long while ago. Don't beat yourselves up over this. It's not worth it. I don't think there's an nfc team that can beat the chiefs. They got it, it's their era.

I don't expect to see this team win a SB any time soon. Our window is closing and our nfc competition is getting better. We have peaked and have nothing to show for it. We'll have to wait until Mahomes retires and/or the next regime comes in. This era is done.

What is the dumbest take ? That I think that a large contract to Purdy is something that needs to be mulled over and not a shoe-in ?

The new OT rules cost us, think it's obvious that you let them go first and try to match, you get clarity when to go on 4th down.

Next year resign Aiyuk, draft a RT and come back swinging. Still think we're comfortably the best team in the NFC

our defence was gassed at the end of regulation. Had we deferred, the D would just been demolished. I have no problem with taking the ball on the first possession.

Shanhan the problem? Just a reminder Jerry Jones thought that anybody can will with the Cowboys when he fired Jimmy Johnson, we have seen how that works.
We have also seen how it worked when we fired Harbaugh (although, he took over a loaded team and has not drafted or developed players well, see Kaeprnick, Colin).
Half of the league is copying Kyle´s scheme, he called a good game this year, the difference, Mahomes will find a way.
Not containing him, costed us. the only way to beat him is the way Tampa did it,

That's a good point, if they march down and get a TD though I'm confident we match. The drive was immense, just couldn't go for it on 4th down in the RZ, but would have had to. Oh well. One more year of cheap Brock, and then we'll have to move some things around. Think it's Trent's last year too, will leave a devastating hole.
