How do we fix this?

The problem I see is we have quite a few more holes in our team than people realize. And this is due to the last few drafts where we have sucked for the most part.

-Everyone knows about our oline. That's 2-3 players needed alone there.
-We need a safety to replace Gipson. Unless are planning to role with Huff and Brown? That's not much speed in the back end.
-Need a CB.
-Still need another DE.
-Need a run stuffing DT.
-Need probably 2 LBs. All we have is Warner and Greenlaw. Our backups suck and now Greenlaw has a serious injury.
-Probably need to look at WR. We won't be able to afford to keep Jennings more than one year.
-Still need a TE to backup Kittle. Kittle is getting up there in age and is somewhat injury prone other than a healthy year this year.

Greenlaw may never be the same, he has Achilles tendonitis and has been dealing with it for some time. As violent as he plays, this may be a constant for him, even after surgery.

It hurts to say, but I think we trade Kittle, Deebo, let our safety walk, let most of the Dline walk, find a new DC. Someone more aggressive.

Start from there. I think Lynch will also need to address play calling with Kyle. He may be brilliant, but he gets stuck in ruts and hurts the team at times.
atleast two picks in the top 3 rounds need to be interior and right tackle, along with a signing if there is anyone available.

Kyle needs a offensive coordinator and give up in game play calling

Cut armstead, we need a big veteran DT run stuffer who can eat up double teams and won't be moved. Cut Mcivitz bring a solid veteran RT. Aiyuk and jennings likely leave in free agency, maybe stick with conley, and maybe a quick shifty slot WR. Bring in a big punishing RB to actually give cmc longer breaks, too many plays for cmc in the reg season. So it will be a change of pace at RB who is a big bruising RB. Cut thomas and bring in another DB. Start hufanga and brown at safety.

What sucks is trying to get back to the SB, because HEALTH is going to be a factor.

First off you need to realize there's a salary cap and you can't just cut whomever without repercussions. This isn't Madden. AA has a $25M DM hit if you cut him. They don't safe any meaningful $…Plus he played amazing last night. You don't need to cut him to get a big DT that will see the field minimally in this scheme.

Cutting a RT who's make next to nothing, has next to no savings if cut and played a full yr…does what exactly? Go draft a RT and let them compete. Colton has shown at worst he's great depth.

Same s**t with Thomas, he's making no money and has been a decent starter. Cutting him does absolutely nothing for this team. go get competition via FA/draft.

Aiyuk isn't a free agent. Jennings might still fall under RFA as well.

You're correct about Jennings, but he's going to get offers elsewhere. We'll see if we match.
The team needs to start hitting its picks. KC won because they hit on their picks like Sneed and Bolton and their DL players.

Why in the world would you trade Kittle/Deebo? They save next to no money doing that.

the only guys that are walking on the DL are the guys that we traded for and maybe Kin. They will add there because they always do.

my god you sound like this team is about to go into rebuild mode. They got a QB still on his rookie deal. You're not replacing Deebo with anyone else like him. Same with Kittle, those are unicorns.

Wilks doesn't deserve to be fired. My god they held KC to 3 freaking pts at halftime. Kyle doesn't take orders from lynch man lol.

Right and we will get a draft pick if we don't match it

That's right. It depends on the tender. But we really can't let him go.

I agree with this in general (whatever with KC they've blown plenty of picks all the same).

we gotta draft with the idea of guys that are gonna be contributing now. I love the Brown pick and I think that has paid off.

This draft is rich in OL and CBs. Two things we need. Work on the trenches and secondary and we will be fine.

extend BA and get some edge help.

Yea, some things in this thread are dumb, we don't lose much next year - run it back - plus up in the draft and a couple key depth or lower cost starters
Frustrating loss to say the least but weirdly enough I feel better than I did in 2019.

Sometimes you just run into a buzzsaw and we had that with Mahomes/Chris Jones. They did it to us in 2019 and they did it to us again.

To me the core of players we have is solid so it's about keeping them - including Aiyuk and being able to bring in talent around them. We need a strong draft and hope some young guys from the last few make a big step up.

Too many mistakes yesterday cost us the game but in the end we still had the lead in OT. Sucks when the biggest weakness bites you in the ass though which was the right side of our OL. Have to work on improving the line. Kyle can't keep scheming around it vs the better teams in the league.
Not as hot as last night nor as drunk. Disappointed. This comes down to Kyle again, sorry. The time has come to separate brilliant x and o play caller from the coaching side. There is no question about Kyle as an offensive guru but again his decisions in big games come into play. He can't get it done until shown otherwise. I think he should have deferred on the OT coin toss and I hate to say it even as drunk as I was when we only scored a FG in OT I said out loud it's over. We lost. Mahomes has shown time and time and time again with near two minutes or even less he will score a TD. We should have gone for it on 4th down. We miss then they have to march a long way down the field. I don't think fire Kyle is relevant but I think we need to divide x and o from HC decisions. One side is an A the other side a D. It's been proven in many big games now.

Where we go next? I don't know. The roster is signed minus Chase. What the hell else? Could the OL or secondary be better? Sure but just how frigging perfect does the roster need to be to win it all?

Disappointed and calm today. Until next season.

1.) Whatever additions you bring in on defense for the front 7 need to be run stoppers.Teams were gouging us all season. Also need a savvy vet for a stop gap to replace Greenlaw(who hopefully can recover and become the player he was)

2..) Go after some speed at the WR position who can catch. We need to take the top off the defense or at least have the threat

3.) CMC had a great season but he won't be able to sustain theses brutal NFL seasons long so start using Mitchell and the other rbs's more. Heck if we could even add a straight speedster here it would do a lot to open it up.

Deebo is frequently injured and was manned up all night, did nothing.

Kittle, invisible.

Keep doing the same thing and we will get the same results. Spaggs did not let the 49ers best players beat him. Kittle, invisible. DBo, invisible. Aiyuk, invisible. McCaffrey 1 TD on a trick play.

Meanwhile, Mahomes and Kelsey roasted the 49er D whenever they needed to.

Chiefs traded Hill after he was one of the best players in the SB and they won another trophy.

Have to change something significant. We are the Buffalo Bills of the 2000s.
Can't , best roster assembled and we still lost, can try again I guess with some picks but we got people overpaid who were no shows in the Super Bowl like kittle and deeebo
