How do we fix this?

There are clips all over twitter of plays where 49er recievers were wide open in front of Brocks face but he couldn't get it because he had an almost unblocked lineman in his face. Fix the line.

the only guys that are walking on the DL are the guys that we traded for and maybe Kin. They will add there because they always do.

my god you sound like this team is about to go into rebuild mode. They got a QB still on his rookie deal. You're not replacing Deebo with anyone else like him. Same with Kittle, those are unicorns.

Wilks doesn't deserve to be fired. My god they held KC to 3 freaking pts at halftime. Kyle doesn't take orders from lynch man lol.

Yea, some things in this thread are dumb, we don't lose much next year - run it back - plus up in the draft and a couple key depth or lower cost starters

This. Get some young players that can come in and contribute now. Get some solid vets that aren't gonna cost a billion dollars.

people acting like we got blown out in the SB. We lost in OT and because of some ST f**k ups.
Poach a lot of these overrated veterans on the team. Start fresh by drafting new players. But it really doesn't matter as long as Kyle is here I have no faith in this regime ever bringing home a championship. It's hard to get excited this man's lost 2 f**kin SB's with 2 different QB's. What the f**k else does he need to win it all?

We have 2 glaring weaknesses and this helps neither.

Either of those two would've have stalled that OT TD drive by the chiefs.

Show me. Are they blitzing on said play or is the OL just getting straight up beat?

Overall I thought the OL was fine. Spags is elite blitzing. Maybe Brady look avg twice in the Super Bowl all the same.

Wilks goes back in to his soft coverages leaving huge space over the middle. We basically held Mahomes hand and walked him down the field.

There was little resistance on the final drive of the 4th qtr and OT.

The drive by KC to tied was a foregone conclusion. Wilks was so scared to give up the big play.

What happened is we lost Dre and Mahomes attacked our backup LBers in coverage.

You know who ran the same s**t? Ryans and Saleh. That whole D is based on not letting the big play happen, especially vs Mahomes. Acting like the defense was the reason for that loss is being naive.
1. Fire Wilks. His scheme does not seem to align with our defensive personnel.

2. Improve the OL. Need up grades across the line and an answer for the potential TL retiring soon.

3. Improve the TE depth. This was a target last offseason but is looking pretty bad at the moment. Try again....

4. Safety position is horrendous. Even with Huff whom I was surprised got all pro last season. We need a starter and depth. Brown may have promise.

5. We sacrificed the run for hargrave and that was a mistake. Go get a run stuffer.

6. CB position depth. Lenoir and Ward are solid. Time to upgrade our depth.

Deebo is frequently injured and was manned up all night, did nothing.

Kittle, invisible.

Keep doing the same thing and we will get the same results. Spaggs did not let the 49ers best players beat him. Kittle, invisible. DBo, invisible. Aiyuk, invisible. McCaffrey 1 TD on a trick play.

Meanwhile, Mahomes and Kelsey roasted the 49er D whenever they needed to.

Chiefs traded Hill after he was one of the best players in the SB and they won another trophy.

Have to change something significant. We are the Buffalo Bills of the 2000s.

Acting like neither of those guys played a major part of even making it to the Super Bowl is being an emotional baby.

Deebo was WIDE OPEN on a TD throw that Brock missed.

Kittle was open multiple times and the trigger wasn't pulled.

again this isn't Madden…those dudes aren replaceable and their DM hit in trades is not viable.

I get it you're emotional…but if you want s**t fixed do your homework instead of going off about cutting so an so are firing so an so. Its just looks silly

Draft that center in round 1. Probably instant upgrade.

Then probably a Lb in 2nd -4th to try to fill in for Greenlaw. (Speed and violence a must)

edge and run stuffing dt as well. (lol)

then I would draft 2-4 tackles rounds 2-5 as well. The more the merrier. 1 of them will pan out better than mckivitz - we hope.

safeties. Te. Wr.

we need all those picks and they need to have a good draft. Last draft was bad.

Only problem about going through the draft is we dont have the time to develop them. We need instant starters, which means trading picks for veterans.

Yes and no - trial by fire brother. Time to say f it. So many other terms develop as they play why can't we? Keeping the team mostly together while upgrading the o line and run d instantly gives us a shot at the playoffs.

Some players are now getting older and we could see some drop off as well that they have to consider as well. All these deep runs take a toll.

Some truth to the back up LB point but Greenlaw was out for most of the game that includes the first half. We lost that game in the 4th and OT. I dont care what Ryans and Saleh did....it worked for that time and place.

Outside of improve the OL and depth additions. The rest of it is not necessary
should the niners do the same thing as the rams and go all in at this point?

The team needs to start hitting its picks. KC won because they hit on their picks like Sneed and Bolton and their DL players.

Our picks are in Dallas backing up Dak

I support Shanahan and don't want to see him fired. I have only one problem, and it's NOT the o-line. Those free blitzers are a scheme problem, not an o-line problem. They had no answer for free runners. They were outnumbered in protection all day, which means you have to have a hot answer for free runners. There was no hot answer.

Where was the screen plays or max protect near the goaline.

He gets lost in the fog of war and tosses out that part of his playbook in big gsames. It's consistently failing in the same manner that is most concerning about Kyle.

He would really benefit from a gameday playcaller IMO
