RG and RT.

Agreed, though I actually think Burford will be good, just had too many mental farts. Mcivitz has to go.

Thought we played a great game, injuries definitely disrupted us. Thought Kyle called a great game, loved the decision to go for it on 4th in the the 4th quarter.

The new OT rules cost us, think it's obvious that you let them go first and try to match, you get clarity when to go on 4th down.

Next year resign Aiyuk, draft a RT and come back swinging. Still think we're comfortably the best team in the NFC
I know we just lost another Super Bowl & the sky is falling but HOLY COW, you guys need to take a step back & relax. This right here is by far the most logical post I've seen. Shanahan was fine. He called the right plays, the players just didn't make the plays. It happens. CMC can't fumble to open up the game, Greenlaw goes down on a freak accident running out onto the field, Moody needs to figure out how to be consistent, McCloud needs to get on the ball or be louder on his call to the players to clear out, etc. Honestly it took a ton of luck to get to the Super Bowl, our luck just ran out at the very end, it is what it is. I just keep telling myself that all these L's will make #6 that much sweeter some day.

Calling a pass play with no hot receivers when everyone including Taylor Swift knows a sellout blitz is coming on the biggest 3rd down of the game is not calling the right plays.

Also he abandoned the run in the third and went no backfield what 15 times?

Shanahan has an obsession with making his QB the focus and it costs this team in big games.

One of the QB gurus on Youtube (I think it was Kurt Warner but can't remember) pointed this out last season, that hot routes were either missing or were poorly designed (on the opposite side of the read)
- Need to retool the O-line. its baaaad when you legitimately miss McGlinchey & Brunskill
- need to adjust some of the offense to have more built in hot-routes or QB checks to a hot to help vs. the blitz
- a DC that Kyle can trust (wild that the head coach/OC burns a TO, rips the DC and essentially calls the defensive play)
- an experienced offensive coach that kyle can trust - we've lost soooo many guys, i am certain kyle replaced them with very smart, talented people, but we lack someone experienced that Kyle can trust and bounce ideas off of, feels like there's too much on Kyle, he needs some help
- Depth on the D-line, we were on their ass for half the game, but with no depth to properly rotate, our guys got gassed (I feel like keeping Ebukam, omenihu and bringing back Key would have been a better use of cap vs. Hargrave - them:~23m/year avg, javon 21m/year avg)

Kyle and John should make a call to Bill. "Hey Bill, f**k this league not hiring you, you wanna come here and bust some fkn heads with us?" If Bill wants to be an HC again his best chance would be to come here and terrorize the league for a season.

I think Greg Cosell was right.

Brock hadn't been seeing the field the way we've grown accustomed to from him. Not getting the ball where it needs to go on time.

IMO, there were glimpses of it in our losses and it culminated in the Ravens game.

I'm sure shaky Oline play has at least something to do with it.

Some truth to the back up LB point but Greenlaw was out for most of the game that includes the first half. We lost that game in the 4th and OT. I dont care what Ryans and Saleh did....it worked for that time and place.

Did it work for Saleh his first yr? No it didn't. Wilks hasn't been here for years like Ryans.

they did the same s**t ran quarters/C3 and rushed 4. Nothing has changed scheme wise. You just don't remember past yrs and are just upset and emotional right now.

Mahomes attacked the middle of the field with the TEs and slot guys. The backup LBers were vulnerable. Also guess what, Kelce is really f**king good. Him and Mahomes play backyard football. It's choice routes and just being in sink with each other. No one has been stopping that for years.

That great ravens D that everyone had a hard on over, let Kelce do his thing.

end of the day stop making it so difficult….we had an 11pt swing off of the OPOY fumbling it and special team f**k ups. Dats it.
Don't muff a Punt
Don't miss an XP
Don't fumble the ball

Any one of those things is "fixed" the 49ers win yesterday. s**t happens.
I think they need to draft CB that can play better in man coverage to help the defense. This will allow the defense to blitz more.
I think they need OL help on the offense. This will give the QB more time to pass plus help the run game.
Last they need a backup LB to replace Greenlaw when he is injured. Greenlaw is injured at some point every year. Unfortunately because of injury in the Super Bowl he will probably miss some time next year.

Only problem about going through the draft is we dont have the time to develop them. We need instant starters, which means trading picks for veterans.

I agree with part of this but we're kind of screwed either way. We pretty much have to go through the draft because we need the lower salaries given our cap situation. We pretty much just have to hope they develop quickly I guess.

Fair comments but for perspective, he is in his second year and in that moment it was for all intensive purposes for the SB.

Show me. Are they blitzing on said play or is the OL just getting straight up beat?

Overall I thought the OL was fine. Spags is elite blitzing. Maybe Brady look avg twice in the Super Bowl all the same.

Exactly! They're blitzing and Brock isn't adjusting. Mahomes was cool and calm and knew where to go with it when we did blitz.

Overall the OL can't block free blitzers all the time. That's why they blitz lol. SO you need to process pre/post where it's gonna happen and go from there.

I'm not saying don't try to upgrade the OL, that should be the main thing this offseason. Brock NEEDS to be better in this situation. People also need to know that Kyle gives him multiple calls and within those calls there's answers for those defensive adjustments.

Brock is far from a finished product. He's gotta learn more of those nuances and I'm betting he will
I don't know if you can. They could draft some offensive linemen but picking so late in the draft it's not a given you'll get an immediate impact.

Apparently that means we trade everyone, fire our head coach and cut everyone People get too emotional and their brain doesn't work
Hire an OC. Kyle needs to take a step back from playcalling and focus more on being a CEO HC.

OL OL OL

That's the kind of random s**t you can't really "fix" though. Stuff like that will happen, you can only hope not to many of those things happen in one game. Moody was perfect on extra's all year. CMC knows how not to fumble, never had a punt hit the back of someone's leg all year...

I think depth on the D-line is more important than a high corner. we were all over Pat in the 1st half and the rush kept getting worse and worse as we had zero depth to rotate and out guys got gassed.

losing guys like ebukam, omenihu and Willis really hurt us, we just couldn't trust anyone else and ran our line into the ground

If there's someone they love, move up. This draft is FULL of good OL talent. I would resign Feliciano
