I removed all my subscriptions on YouTube and Instagram of anything football related. I feel so much better. Ya'll should do the same if you're still struggling like I am.
You got anything to say?

- Be respectful of our online community. Contribute to an engaging conversation rather than resort to personal attacks, threats, or anything that may be considered offensive.
- Above all, we value quality over quantity.
Not sure how 50+ posts of the laughing emoji doesn't break these rules. Not my problem now.

i'm struggling with this in some way. The feeling of devastation is just so real and hard.
When we suck i can just enjoy watching the 9ers and other teams stress free. When we are in the hunt, it becomes really difficult and painful. I was thinking to myself i need to detach somehow cause there has to be a better way to watch and enjoy. not watch and be tortured.
i'm sure we are all alike in that we constantly check twitter or this website multiple multiple multiple times a day for any nugget. its an essential part of my life and how i live and process the world.
it's probably not healthy. but its the one thing i have that is a solo activity that is essential to me like my family is.
I don't know the answer bro.

It's ok. A couple years ago he was doing a countdown daily I think for graduation or something. Just the zone's court jester. Don't pay him any mind

I think that's just ridiculous lol. Taking play calling duties away from one of the best play callers in football
how about we give Spags some credit? Dude called a great second half. s**t happens. He's done that to a f**k ton of great coaches that have awesome offenses.
kyle has gotta look at the roster and realize we can't get by at certain areas anymore. His scheme has evolved, so his roster building has to as well.
Well we need to take something off his shoulders. Is he gonna be cool with an assistant HC taking over all the game day duties that don't involve play calling? Basically making Kyle an OC. If he's down for that great! But i highly doubt he'll go for that. But he's clear in over his head when it comes game day strategy.

If you're even contemplating quitting as a Niner fan, then you aren't a real Niner fan. Yes, this SB loss was excruciating, but they made it to the big game. Much as losing it hurts, it's certainly no disgrace losing to the Chiefs. They have the no. 1 HC and no. 1 QB in the league. Many wrote them off earlier in the season, but when their games counted the most, they were ready to defend their championship. The Niners are already being looked at as a SB team again, as it should be. Most of us realize they'll have to improve the OL and CB positions, get real bookends for Kittle and Bosa teams will fear, get better on ST's, etc. I've personally been a Niner diehard since 1957...yep, that's a long time ago when they played in Kezar Stadium. They are my team and I love them, win or lose. Winning's a lot more fun and I firmly believe they will win another championship sooner rather than later.

The key is shown here, the key to watching 49er football, one must ask for serenity:

I'll add some advice. Don't watch highlights. I just revisited after going through my full 7 stages of grief and between that and rich eisen recapping just how horrible and ineffectual all of the chiefs drives were through 3 quarters, it started to bring back the sting.
Yes, i firmly believe, above all opportunities and times, that this was the year to do it. It shoudl have been. It had to have been....
it wasn't.
Oh well. Purdy is an assassin. They are gonna return largely the same team next year. That's what I go back to. Imagine they don't hit on Purdy and we have Trey f**king LANCE???!!!!!! Guy is wearing the same clothes we are during dallas games. He blows. And somehow, we still lucked out with an actual franchise QB, who now has 4 playoff wins, 2 championship game appearances, and one super bowl appearance.
He just turned 24 off major elbow surgery and blew our minds with his performance.
A lot of what this team has lacked is a qb. They got one; one that passed for more yards than Young and Montana ever have. And did it in the same amount of games.
I know some (a lot?) hated Jimmy. I wasn't a hater. I loved Jimmy but was well aware of his limitations. Seeing how Purdy could not only elevate, but lead, this team actually made me realize how much Shanny and the team did help prop up Jimmy. Brock was an immediate and significant upgrade.
And he's only had ONE FULL SEASON as a starting qb. Two seasons NFL experience. Look what he's done. It's remarkable.
I can't wait to watch this guy for years to come. He's a killer and has already authored one of the greatest playoff comebacks in 49ers history against Detroit.
We're gonna be OK boys. We just need to overcome shanahan. He's the one i worry about.

Purdy after 2 seasons has had more success than pretty much every NFL QB at the same stage, so there is that.

We found our quarterback. Now just need to find our coach. The question is how much of this current roster is gone before Jed realizes Kyle is the issue and gets rid of him. Because the way things are trending, most of these guys will either have moved on or retired before Jed fires Kyle for being the ultimate failure.

No HC is getting fired after going to 2 SBs and 4 NFC Champ games in 5 seasons.
That would be mental.
