Enjoy the ride man. The season was great. We lost to another team that is not discernibly worse than us in a coinflip game.
Drop the entitlement. Take it for what it is.

Nothing but losing. What's the point? It messes with my mental health and makes me unproductive at work and I neglect other areas of my life during football season.
I don't know what it's like to be a winner. You older folks should appreciate your memories because some of us don't have those.
You need balance in your life dude. I love football, love the 49ers but win or lose I don't really let it affect my normal day to day life. Its a recreational thing, its supposed to be fun and yeah it sucks when they lose but at those times I go and get myself lost in other activities. The best thing might be to just take a break from it for a few months, take up a new sport or hobby, put more time in at the gym, volunteer, do things that bring a positive mindset and make you feel good.

I know what to say other than... I feel you bro, I feel the same. I'm around the same age and it's been rough, my 8 year old son was super invested with me this year and he cried when Mahomes got to the 4 yard line at the end of the game... he knew it was over. I'm not sure hoe much more I can take

I hear you man! I'm in same boat. It consumes me because I'm so passionate and it's just so heartbreaking. I won't ever quit though I love this team so much it just rips my heart out

I'm 36 and all we've seen is 7 NFC championships and ZERO rings. f**k this franchise. I gotta care less about this team especially with Shanahan the clown still around

It's actually surreal. This was the one I thought they had.
I'd quit for a year or two maybe, I don't think they getting back to the bowl for awhile , kittle is old, cmc is old , deebo has been on the decline, and purdy don't seem like the answer, tough times ahead

Its not that serious. You will be fine in a day or two. Life moves on like everything else.
Shake it off and take a break from social media and football.
Come back for free agency and the draft.
Remember, its just sports!

Its a game. Someday you will face a life tradgedy/trauma that will put this perspective. I was hoping for a win for the young generation. But here we are once again on the doorstep and oh so close. The doorstep is a far better place to be then perennial losers. The chances were there.

I'm 33 and I want to quit it's too painful to keep going through this I'm so heartbroken after witnessing our third super bowl loss in my lifetime. I just lost my house and all of my possessions in a fire and I was hoping my niners would come through to bring a bright light and make me feel better

I somehow KNEW the 49ers would lose in a fashion like this. I have a sixth sense. It still sucks, but I was prepared.
Being a fan of an up and coming team, and of the underdog with no expectations is easier than a team you expect to win that keeps failing. This playoff run was not enjoyable for me, just tension and stress, and the inevitible letdown I knew was coming.
I'm glad this season is over.

Really sorry to hear about your house my friend. That's absolutely horrific.
I don't mean to be offensive but you shouldn't and actually can't escape real life through entertainment, They win this game and you're 'happier' but still dealing with very real problems in real life. Find meaning through yourself, your family and your friends.

Meh…it's whatever now. Niners are just not going to win another SB. Is what it is.
