Honest question: should I quit?

I hate Kyle Shanahan. He'll never win one and has only existed to torture us.

I'm diehard and honestly wish I could resign more of myself to this. I'm tired of this team ruining me.

Same. I hate shanahan and the 0-7 streak has absolutely crushed me. No reason to expect it to change. I'm just gutted.

The 49ers are going to win a SB again. Maybe in 2025 or 2030. I don't think it will be a lifetime. But that elation will be gone within a week or two. Point being the 49ers winning a SB isn't going to fix anyone's everyday struggles. It's going to take them actually winning one for people to realize this. I'm a Warriors fan. I know how my team winning doesn't solve m issues.

Personally, I have severe anxiety and depression. It's a nightmare to deal with. It's an every day struggle. If someone told me that would all go away on the condition that the 49ers never win again in my lifetime, I'll take it.

I'm sorry for your personal struggles but I do not agree. The Giants won a WS in 2010 and I would have been happy for the rest of my life if they didn't win one. It was a cherry on top for them to win in 2012 and 2014. If the Giants NEVER win another championship in my lifetime I will be ok with it.

Unless the team dumps Shanahan for Belichick, I don't see anything changing.

I do wish we could get a SB where we have the better QB. We keep getting the short end of the stick in that regard.

I'm certain a large portion of my problems would go away if SF won one, because they are a the problem. :)

I get it. Perspective. Yadda yadda. I'm glad and grateful for my life. I know this is "unimportant" in the scheme of things. But it doesn't feel that way to me, not after 30 years of no super bowl and each loss being more agonizing than the previous.

We just want one. one. that's it. and man, it feels like we'll never get it. a single play away. Seconds away. Nope. Sorry. Back to zero again.

Not sure if football will be around in 100 years. Maybe flag football with AI robots

I'm hurting, but surprisingly doing better than in 2012 (died inside) and 2019 (felt comatose). I really wasn't convinced with this team. They lost horribly in some easy games. They barely squeaked by in the playoffs relying on the opponent's mistakes or dumb decisions to make it this far. This was not a great 49ers team. It just had some great individual performers, most of them deciding not to show up when it mattered.

regardless, time to switch gears into casual fan mode. Not worth putting important things in life on hold bc you're anxious and can't stop refreshing the zone or other websites for 2 weeks.
