I was thinking about this during these past few weeks of this run. Im the same age as you. I want to take a step back but I love the game and the team so how does that work???
Be so unbelievably grateful that the negative aspect of your life right now.....is your nfl team lost. This is just entertainment, be sad for an hour or a day or so because you should be then move on, its going to be okay. BE THANKFUL there is no more football lol. At least we get a break. Once draft and free agent stuff goes down, just read about it quick and move on. This forum gets toxic every now and then, but this place is so much better than the national media (who i wanted SO BADLY TO PROVE WRONG)
I am getting numb to the big stage losses because there have been so many the past 10 years.
Whatever time you spent on niners stuff, replace it With reading or youtube videos on something cool, im gonna check out some WW2 history
Give today to be pissed and upset. You should be, dont rethink whos to blame and what play should have or should not have, we just f**king lost.
If you can bail and not have to deal with the stress I respect that move so much, this is not worth it. And maybe it not being worth it is the reason why every season from now on you can just watch...then move on.
You, me and all of us as fans have earned the right to take our emotions out of it and simply take a step back

Honest question: should I quit?

Take a break a from it. Don't give up on the iNners just take some time away. I understand how you feel. Just remember some have never gotten the opportunity to even reach the Mountain Top.

Fan since 1983. The 49ers found great stability with Kyle but we're all going to have to lower our expectations going forward. He pails by comparison to Walsh in every way especially on the sidelines. In this era with super qb's we're going to have to get lucky.

Until proven otherwise Mahomes is the only Super QB. No other QB under 35 has won a SB as a starter.

Nothing but losing. What's the point? It messes with my mental health and makes me unproductive at work and I neglect other areas of my life during football season.
I don't know what it's like to be a winner. You older folks should appreciate your memories because some of us don't have those.
Stop being emotionally invested in a game played by multimillionaires who don't give a rats ass about you.
The Kaepernick era taught me that lesson. I watch because it's entertainment and that's it.

Be upset in the moment, as soon as the game is done- get over it. You have no effect on the games outcome, yea it's fun to care but don't let it affect your life lol.

Just don't let the outcome of a sporting event dictate how your life goes. Sports are basically a television series. It's just entertainment.
