Bunch of "what if's". Here's one - we stop them on 4th and 1 and it's game over right there.
Or just let's do our job on Special Teams and they would have won without having to think about defering or not in OT.
I think the bounces were pretty even. We had the punt disaster. They had Mahomes throwing it straight to Brown. Both backs fumbled. So odd bounces kinda evened out. Where it was decided was Kyle making poor decisions. Like getting his key plays blown up with free rushers, and then hamstringing us in OT with 3 downs and KC gets 4. Also settling for FGs.
Throwing an interception, straight to the defender is not a "bad bounce".
The Chiefs fumbled 3 times and lost none if I'm not mistaken.
Its amazing the ways you try to defend your narrative. Sad really.
It's an unforced error, same as the punt fumble. You expect our guys to handle the punt cleaner, and you expect Mahomes and 87 to be on the same page. Both were gifts.
So if someone says, if only we didn't have this play well, we gave em the ball, and they also gave us the ball.
The Chiefs fumbled more than the 49ers and only lost one. 33.33% loss rate.
The 49ers fumbled twice and lost both. 100% loss rate
To me, a muffed punt is far more flukey than an interception. Especially an interception thrown straight to the defender.
It's okay to admit the Chiefs were luckier, while still being critical of Kyle. Because once again, they were not called for a single holding penalty... while the 49ers had 2 or 3 I believe.
You can say, well the penalties were even.... yet you're being dishonest about what the tape shows. The tape shows the Chiefs holding far more often. No calls.
I know you want to downpour on Kyle, but you can be honest about the game too.
