Who will be the Niners new DC?-Rooney Rule Now Applicable

This update is subterfuge/bs in my opinion. There's no way they're just now getting around to Bullock.

The source is apparently Kyle Shanahan himself texting Maiocco. So take it for what it's worth.

I just think it's a bad look. It tells me their plan A 100% fell through.
I'd prefer to believe plan A fell through than for Staley,Sorensen or Bullocks to be plan A.

Jets didn't fire Saleh and screwed up the plan
I wouldn't be mad about staley

Meh. I'm just not really worried about this. This team's issues go beyond DC anyway. I'd rather them take their time ang get a better fit than Wilks than just hire somebody quick just to appease fans. Hell, it kinda sounds like they may have not even been doing interviews that quickly. Understandable, after suffering this franchise's worst loss ever. Gotta have some time to lick their wounds.

People say that Plan A fell though, and I agree. Plan A was winning the SB. Any plan B past that point was always gonna suck.

Feel like Sorensen would make more sense. I read somewhere that he was helping Kyle with the defensive planning more than Wilks was.

if that's the case make him the DC. Shut them down 1st half. 2nd half was meh but passing greenlaw and D was gassed.

Lol no it doesn't.

You are simply choosing to read into it as such.

Hopefully Kyle is just lying to him. If not, I agree with you.

WTF? Kyle was doing the defensive planning and not the DC? Wonder why he wasn't fired sooner if that was the case, never heard of that s**t before from a HC who is also the OC lol

Kyle is always heavily involved. Same under Saleh and Ryans. But to what degree, I'm not sure. But you can bet that won't change now esp. with a new internal DC. Kyle runs...

Every HC has say on both sides of the ball…Kyle is no exception. He's not suppose to be doing all the game planning on both sides of the ball, while the SC sits there an picks his nose. That was not the case with Ryans/Saleh.

It depends. Some are heavily involved like Kyle, no matter the DC. Others don't even look to that side of the bench (Reid). But we know Kyle...he 🏃‍♂️

Examples of his heavy involvement (unlike Reid) when DeMeco or Saleh were coaching here?
Same people now saying he's too involved and a micromanager are the same ones who used to say he just had his head down in his play sheet and was oblivious to everything else. Too funny
