Who will be the Niners new DC?-Rooney Rule Now Applicable

Maybe we should offer the Jets pick 98 in the third to let us have Ulbrich. Giving up that pick for a Defensive Coordinator has to be more impactful than taking a Trey Sermon, Danny Gray, or Ty David Price.

I AGREE

First question for Brandon Staley: What was your defensive strategy against the Raiders?

Have the backup qb throw 3 pick sixes?
He threw at least 2 and like 4 picks total?
We will never know.

We've run through everybody twice now and I'm not even sure who I want anymore. I'm just going to trust Kyle on this one.

Kinda hope it's Staley. Go into the season with two of the big chokers of this era. Like a double flip of the bird to the fball gods, see what happens..

So… we don't want to change anything philosophically, but in the same exact press conference, we're looking to evolve.

That pretty much confirms what I already knew but nobody wanted to hear: this team has no clue what it's doing.

Like he's wanting his pet dog's balls to grow bigger. It's still his dog and still the same balls...yet growing bigger "philosophically"

i'd prefer to actually send them Danny Grey or Thomas.

People on this forum actually want Brandon Staley?????

He's got that pencil neck, we all saw what he can do on his hands and knees. I'm not impressed

What do yall think Joey Bosa is saying to Nick right now?

"Man I hope yall get our ex-Head Coach. One hell of a leader, that guy!"

Na... Joey loves his brother, and is praying for Lil Bro that we don't get Staley. Same thing with Papa Bosa. He had to sit back and endure Charger games.

Im sure you don't know what the players think

I'm hoping for Ulbrich.

Was he one of the names Lynch even mentioned for interviews?
Pete Carroll...Vrabel...either could do the job, but Pete wants to be a HC somewhere and so does Vrabel. Mike may sit out the '24 season. I'm very leery of Staley...he couldn't get the Chargers defense ranked above 20th in the league. Not that keen on Rivera, either. He's getting long in the tooth as a HC/DC. I'd be down with Ulbrich or Sorensen. The latter has been the defensive passing guy...would arguably be a smaller jump for him to DC than a position coach, I'd think.
Why would the Jets even let Ulbricht come for an interview, let alone leave to join another team in the same job? It simply won't happen.

More than likely won't BUT reasons such as him going home, coaching for the team he played for, knowing that NJ is a sinking ship and that whole coaching staff is getting canned in a year. Toss in the fact that the HC is a defensive guy. He won't get the recognition he deserves there…simply put it's basically a promotion looking at it from that standpoint. just a better opportunity if he wants to be a HC.

it's not really apples to apples but we did it for McDaniels with Welker. Fangio basically did it this yr….maimi and him "mutually parted ways" dude was hired by Philly within 24hrs 🤔
