LMAO.

Well, this guy (Merritt) is out at DC.

Sometimes the truth hurts, but he didn't come across as a coordinator level mind when I read that. I like his story, but youd think after 20 years he paid attention to more than just his DB's and I wonder if he has that kind of mind etc. Some guys like Merritt or Kocurek are best fit managing a unit.

The Chiefs biggest receiving weapon ( Kelce ) had 9 receptions for 93 yards whilst the 9ers biggest receiving weapon ( Kittle ) had 2 receptions for 4 yard.

I am on the record that Kittle has been criminally underused by Kyle during his career.

Kelce agrees.

Shanafans: Kittle's fault, not Kyle's…

I'm pretty sure the Chiefs defense had something to do with that. They had constant pressure on Purdy so the pass routes had little time to develop. The Chiefs DBs did a great job of covering the 49ers receivers. You have to credit the opponents defense when they shut down an offense like the 49ers.

For the record, the 49ers did a good job of shutting down the Chiefs. They only allowed one TD in regulation and that was because of the muffed punt that wet up an easy score. It wasn't like the Chiefs receivers were running wild all day. Kelce did nothing in the first half. When Greenlaw went down he was able to get open more and they started throwing to him.
Dianna Russini said that SF was flirting with the idea of bringing in Spags before he signed that extension…short lived idea BUT makes you think they're willing to go get a KC defensive minded guy

Yep. Exactly the response I expected.

Just laugh at him, he doesn't understand football at all. He's the the guy that calls in on sports radio shows and sounds like an idiot

Bingo. Guess Andy sucks too 🫠

you can always tell who has any sense of football and who doesn't…based on what they're whining about.

Yeah because your whining is embarrassing.

Like I just said, you can always tell someone's football IQ based on what they're complaining about.
Bummed about the Merritt comments he was my top candidate, but yeah that's just classless, can't have that. Honestly doesn't surprise me as there are a lot of trashy elements in the KC culture

You all do realize this was a casual talk show that took place at least a week before the interview, right? Why would his comments on a casual talk show from 7+ days ago suddenly take him out of the running?

I swear you all just let journalists and the media control your thoughts. Just because they found an interesting old talk show segment that anyone could've looked up doesn't mean it's suddenly news/relevant

Casual talk show or serious press conference, I don't even think his comments are that big of a deal. So he's brutally honest about our offensive performance and pointed out that Wilks' firing had something to do with the season as a whole. We've known that for awhile now. If anything the only "red flag" is he didn't know how to pronounce Aiyuk's name. But when you dig deep and study X's and O's so intensely, it's not out of this world to think he knows our players more by their numbers than names.

This team asked for Spags, Bill Belichick (if that rumor mill account is true). Gotta admit they aim high even when it's very unlikely.

I wonder if we talked to Pete Carroll too while we're at it lol. Or even Jim Schwartz.

Great now this is turning into a qb thread. And the guy from KC's comments weren't classless they were the truth. That moves the guy up on my list. I can tell he's not about the b******t
