Well they inferred by the end of the week, is that Friday or Sunday?

Today.

And 5-6 PM EST on Friday is usually the "news dump" period of the weekly news cycle, so… it's probably a very underwhelming hire coming up

Why Vrabel? They haven't interviewed him?

I don't think Merritt was a sham interview. This new guy? Maybe.

Ok tick tock…

We hadn't known that they went after Spagnuolo until like a week later. Vrabel is a free agent, if they chose to meet with him, there'd be no reason for anyone to know about it. Also seeing that they went after Belichick and Spagnuolo its clear that they aren't afraid to swing for the fences.

Well we don't know they went after Belicheat, that only came from that one b******t Twitter source (which said we interviewed Manuel and no one has verified that either).

regardless maybe you're right and he and Merritt would be my top two choices. Everyone else is underwhelming.

Still hoping for:
Ron Rivera
Mike Vrabel

I like the new guy Dave Merritt as well. Have to respect a guy that isn't afraid to speak his mind.

True about Merritt but can he back it up. Tell me, has speaking his mind been the reason he hasn't been a DC yet?

I'm thinking not even knowing the names of the players he was going up against might be part of that reason...or maybe knowing that Kittle would need to be kept in as a blocker against that pash rush? Those details are probably a little helpful in game planning.

That he didn't even know Aiyuk's name is kind of mind boggling honestly.

I interpreted it as more of him T-bagging Aiyuk after the DBs he coaches absolutely shut Aiyuk down in the SB. Just my take obviously, but I think people are reading way too much into it.
