Who will be the Niners new DC?-Rooney Rule Now Applicable

i wonder if there's any decent assiant from the Saleh or Demeco tree.
Y'all do realize that was the last shot at a 6th ring for a while, same players and we keep acting like the outcome is gonna be different. New DC isn't gonna change anything, defense is going to look even weaker. All of the veteran players if not impacted by a season ending injury aren't gonna put in half the effort.

Do you really believe all that?

James J. Schwartz is going to be available. He only signed a one year deal with Cleveland and he has not been extended. They literally run the exact same scheme as the 49ers just much better.

He would be awesome. Like Spags, he knows how to rattle Kyle.

If you can't beat them, sign them?

That list is long for Kyle…

You probably use tiktok a lot huh

Thing here is I don't know if Kyle will hire an ex HC.

Anthont Lynn

He just was hired by the commanders

His point is that Lynn was a former HC that Kyle brought in.

Steve Wilks has quite the resume. It was reported that Shanahan had quite a bit of respect for him prehire. It may have been a scenario where the 49eres were hoping to fill DC while also continuing to play the compensatory pick game and hoping Wilks would get hired right away while having Bullocks still on staff to hand over the reins to this year.

Kyle still probably has a lot of respect for Steve. Just because the fit wasn't quite right doesn't mean that has changed necessarily.

Doubtful. He could have offered him an alternate position like DB coach or assistant head coach and kept him on staff. That relationship faltered right after we beat Dallas. As long as we were beating teams soundly, and Wilks could play his pseudo prevent schemes against rosters trying to make multiple score comebacks, it was good. But when opposing defenses hit us in the mouth and we had to punch back, Wilks had no answers. Look at what Cousins did to us. Burrow was a laugher he made us look like a college unit on defense. Even that no namer on Cleveland who doesn't even have a job anymore held his own.

Now the sad part is that this becomes Shanny's scapegoat. We can spend all offseason focusing on Wilks flaws but no one will question Kyle's ineptitude. Why did we struggle against Cleveland's defense ? Why did GB and Detroit's mediocre D units make our offense look average. And why couldn't we outduel a weak KC offense held to 3 pts in the first half, and total 19 points in regulation ? That is all poor offensive game planning, and no one will question Kyle within the 49er bubble. But damn right the sports media world is starting to see it, and I for one am glad that he's getting piled on this week for it…

How do you know he didn't? Lol.
And why would Wilks stay on a demotion, players probably wouldn't even respect him
Belicheck is not going to be a coordinator again.

It's a possible future. The future is not fixed. we don't have to relive the future over and over again, but we do have to do something completely different to not relive the future. To change the future, you need to change the present. You need to change YOU and as such, Kyle Shannahan needs to change himself, evolve, become a coachable coach who makes good Superbowl decisions else he will make the same mistakes over and over and over again infinitum.

There will be nothing except a known future with no way out of the horror for this generation of 49er fans and for the next generation of 49er fans, watching Tay Tay Swift kissing Travis Kelce on the Superbowl winning podium for ever and ever into eternity.

Glad I blacked out Sunday.

Why not? Sitting on the couch for the first time since the early 70s a better option?
Listening to Kreug- "I want somebody with CREDENTIALS! Somebody that comes in that will command the room and will say we will do it this way and everyone agrees."
I agree with that. "You move on from Wilks and then you go for someone that is untested. So it definitely needs to be an upgrade." With that said I like the coaches that have resumes like BB, Vrabel, Carroll, Schwartz (If available).

All the more reason why Kyle will probably opt for the water boy that was handing out gatorades to the d lineman when the offense was on the field…

Assuming Belichick is a realistic option, how much of a scheme fit will he be especially with the players we have?
Bill Belichick said to Atlanta he would not head coach unless he was also General Manager and now he is going to become the 49ers lowly DC. Please, it iant happening.
