Listening to the HAM pod and one guy he tossed out there is D'Anton Lynn. Anthony Lynn's son. He's currently the DC of USC. He was the DC UCLA and his statistics had that D rolling (and that's with Chip Kelly and his offense).

he's coached under Rex in Buffalo. Coached under Wink in Baltimore. Romeo Crennel in Texas.

I hope they got verbal confirmation from someone before they fired Wilks. Seems like a mini Lance situation trading up and not exactly know who you are taking. This time they're firing someone and not having anyone lined up to replace him

I think they did. This organization just likes to be tight-lipped.

Give it time. It may or may not be a name we all know. Even if it's not, Saleh and Ryans weren't big names either.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a big name but this team is in a much different position now than when Saleh & Ryans were hired you'd think experience would be factor.

I like this:

In 2022, the Bruins ranked 90th in scoring defense (29.0) and 72nd in yards per play allowed (5.6). In Lynn's first and only season with the program, UCLA currently ranks 16th in scoring defense (18.1) and eighth in yards per play allowed (4.6 yards).

I actually don't hate the idea of Lynn. He's really young but also very experienced as an assistant and what he did with that UCLA defense last year, taking them from 89th to 11th in the nation was damn impressive.
