SB winning HC's don't go back to being coordinators. They become HC's elsewhere, go on TV or retire.

Brandon Staley would be cool and wouldn't be mad, but not in my top 5.

Well when he was a DC he had top 5 defenses. So that's all good in my book and he's really not that old. Plus he runs a 4-3 so that's a huge plus.

Well when he was a DC he had top 5 defenses. So that's all good in my book and he's really not that old. Plus he runs a 4-3 so that's a huge plus.
And no one would want Ron as a head coach ever again. That's a plus.

Despite his age, has the personality to be on the field. Tons of experience, including building one of the best defenses in our generation. Cory Undlin, Texans defensive passing game coordinator There are a lot of former 49ers defensive assistants scattered around the league. Undlin, who was in San Francisco in 2021 and 2022, stands out because he's also a former defensive coordinator — for the Detroit Lions in 2020. Other former 49ers assistants around the league include Jets linebackers coach Mike Rutenberg and Jets senior defensive assistant Tony Oden.
