I can speculate as well as Ian Rap can. He doesn't know what our front office is doing lol

I'm sure he has an idea.

Trade the 1st rounder to the Browns for Jim Schwartz.

/thread
Pro football talks source is probably this forum when they say some people think it will be Brandon Staley lol

He is on a one year deal that has to be ending this month. it would be odd to expect him to leave Clev after a good year and winning assistant coach of the year.
We should offer a huge contract to switch. uses a wide 9 front. not likely to get a head coach job. Shanny wouldn't have to face him in a game.

Ok, i could be wrong. i searched yesterday after i heard the rumor. i saw an article that said one year contract when he was hired. i can't find it now.
It may have been one I see today that shows up in google from an akron paper. It shows in the preview that it was a one year contract..Once in the article, it's a DT they are talking about.

Wait, is this true? If this is true then Jim Schwartz makes the most sense.

Its not. People are all repeating the same unsourced rumor. Browns wouldn't be just chilling if there was any risk of Gym Shorts walking.

If anyone was out of line it was Moon.

Yah I kinda lost my cool there though. My frustration level is high after that Super Bowl loss and just tired of people spamming the board with Shanahan slander.

You have a handful of the same bots going into every thread and spamming the same clown takes, f**king children

Not a bot, Not a clown and Not a child.

What I am though is a 49er fan, just like you. I also have every right to not agree with you and post my dissatisfaction with Shanahan.

If you want to disrespect me for having a different perspective than you, then you should keep it to yourself.

Hopefully a Moderator steps in and does something about this constant harassment from members who forget that this is a public forum that has rules.
What is your deal?

Pete Carroll would be awesome. Bring him back as DC!

This is who I hope we hire. Has experience, knows our system well. High energy guy, and he'd love to stick it to Seattle.

Imagine Pete roaming the sidelines on game day?

I think he's a booth guy. At least he was when he was DC for us…

love to know where he gets this info

How dare anyone say his comments are emotional based and silly. Apparently that's disrespecting him 🥴🙄

if you can't handle people saying your opinion stinks on a subject, then you shouldn't be in here.

Just a fan who has a different opinion and view of Shanahan. I come to the Webzone to discuss those opinions and views with other fans. Unfortunately some fans don't know how to treat others on a public forum. I'm just reminding them that we are all equal and 49erswebzone has rules. Harassing another member shouldn't be taken lightly.

I'm fine with you disagreeing with me. What I'm not fine with is the name calling and harassing.
Seeing that Brandon Staley only had one year as a DC and then had a s**tty ass defense with the Chargers, I'd take a hard pass. Chargers had some talent on defense too and so I don't know how such a supposedly great defensive coach would have such a terrible defense. I'd stay away from the guy and I sure hope they hire someone else.

My preference would be another young former defensive player who's got that fire and knowledge like Demeco had. Is there such a guy out there? I don't know. I know we have Dashon Goldson on our staff but I have no idea if he's experienced enough or DC kind of material. I do know Whitner and Sherman are very knowledgable when it comes to defense, but obviously they're not even coaching right now so they wouldn't just become a DC all the sudden without building up a little of a coaching resume. I want a young firey guy that knows his s**t that the players relate to.

Oh and I think bringing in someone like Pete the cheat or Bill Belicheat as advisors or like assistant head coaches to help Kyle with some of the bigger moments would be very beneficial.
