I don't know of we want that personality and would Bosa play OLB in his 3-4?
Rex runs an aggressive hybrid scheme. 3-4, 4-3, and 46. I think Chase and Bosa would benefit from
Rex
Interesting, now that I think about it, Rex is probably option 1 for me, even higher than Bill.

Looks like this dude has been around the Chiefs as long as Spags has.

He looks like a baby. Imagine him tearing the d-lines asses up on the sidelines lol

Rex Ryan or Bill B would be very interesting. My gut tells me we will promote from within because of what Kyle said about wanting to run the same scheme that they have the players for and are familiar with, so I'm thinking Bullocks and I'm fine with that, was a fan of his as a player and I did read things about him having a bright coaching future

Visually better than Xerxes (Saleh), I suppose. 😂

Interesting. I missed that part. I wonder if they take a look at Tony Oden, who is currently with Saleh in NY.

Hahaah, he's actually a good dude but does look just like him. His kid plays soccer and runs into my in laws at tournaments around here (I live in nyc)

Give me a Spags disciple. Can't just keep doing the same s**t looking for different results. I don't want any of the guys on this list

Kyle can't hand cuff his new DC like he did Wilks. Let him bring in his staff and install his own scheme. If that's a 3-4, so be it.

Ron Rivera. Atleast you'll have him for a few seasons for continuity. Vrabel would be one and done.

Im guessing they have a clear candidate in mind but will need to do some interviews. I think Rivera is a good option but wouldn't be surprised if it was some obscure assistant from the Baltimore, KC, Cleveland or even Houston defensive staffs.
One name I'll throw out there is Brandon Lynch, the CB coach of the Browns. He's a former NFL player, has been coaching for over a decade between college and the NFL and already had a few DC interviews. He's a pretty intense dude that is more on the level of coaches like Saleh and Ryans in terms of his demeanor.
These were my 2 first thoughts as well. The FO loves Ron already too and of course, the Fangio connection.

It's going to be somebody outside of the box. Not these same retreads.

Shifting to what BAL/KC does is less of a schematic change than shifting to what Brandon Staley (and anyone else from the Fangio tree) does. You can draft man CBs, and they alreayd have one with Mooney.
Asking the DL to learn 1.5 gapping techniques and shifting to five man front is a much bigger adjustment to what the 49ers have been doing the past 7 years. The reads for the off ball LBs also change. The coverage schemes are similar to what they've been doing.
