Who will be the Niners new DC?-Rooney Rule Now Applicable

Newsflash: this wouldn't be taking this long if it were an internal candidate. Getting a deal done with someone big time is what would take this level of time and subterfuge. They may end up falling back to internal, but they're working on someone like bellicheat, vrabel or Carroll. Saleh would have told Kyle by now on ulbrich.

Yeah Sorensen looks like he's still growing. Literally.

I believe he'd put his neck on the line for this defense.

I assume the race between Sorenson and another DC candidate is neck and neck.

😂

Idk…turtle club jokes or d******d jokes? Not sure which one to go with

This of course

I just don't buy that any internal hire is a top candidate to replace Wilks. For one, it's not a good start to try and win back fans when they're blaming you for losing the Super Bowl. Two, if its taking you this long to hire a DC only to settle for an internal hire, it tells me he was the plan C or D and couldn't really get the coach you wanted. Again not a good start if you're trying to win back the crowd, which he should be. Another blunder at DC and the natives will really start to get restless.

Maybe I'm being ridiculous but when fans and media start noticing s**t, coaches are removed from the booth and put on the field.

Win back fans? 29 other teams would die and sell their soul to be part of/run like a team like the 9ers.

Super Bowl losers ? Yea, I don't think so…

Meh. 31 teams lose the Super Bowl every year. It just so happens one of them doesn't lose until the last day of the season.

At worst it's tomato-tomato.

Jim Tomsula was hired as our HC 17 days after we let Harbaugh go. So not necessarily. We'll see.

Take a break lmao, this is not healthy

People are going to b***h just to b***h. Meco was an internal hire, people complained, then they liked him...

If they think we have somebody ready to go, I'm sure it will be fine. If we can actually keep a DC for at least 3 years it would be nice. But knowing how much other teams poach our coaches, our new DC will get a HC offer next season.

That was with Jed dork and Baalke running things. Not a good comparison.

If you can't appreciate the journey, it's time for you to look yourself in the mirror and grow up lol.

I think at this point you need to find something better to do with your time. I b***hed about Burford for 2 days, and then I moved on. Repeating the same s**t, in every thread, for almost 2 weeks now is pretty unhinged.

Yeah and he was the backup option after they tried to force him as DC on to Gase.

Depends on the internal candidate. If its Sorenson then they'd still have to complete two interviews with outside minority candidates first. After the Flores lawsuit, teams aren't messing around and they are being extremely thorough in assuring that they follow the process to the letter.

I don't disagree it's been almost 2 weeks time to move on,but people repeating the same s**t at nauseum on a message board is par for the course it's a far cry from being unhinged.
It is a bit weird that nothing about interviews has been reported. The Wilks and Harris interviews were reported before they happened last year.
