Yeah well losing 3 super bowls in 12 years can do that to a fan. lol
Go say that to the 99% of other fan bases who haven't been to one let alone 3 SBs in that time span.
man the complaining. We're over here eating a nice ribeye (bone-in) steak and complaining its not wagyu lol…meanwhile the rest of the league is eating cube steak and spaghettiOs
I don't think any fan base would trade 3 SBs losses for anything. Sheesh. The silver medal enthusiasm is strong with this weak fanbase
Choking in the post season is NOT eating well. The 49ers are invited to the steakhouse and have a seat at the table but they only watching others enjoy the meal. We eat the bread and drink the water only. Kyle forgot his wallet. Again.
My best friend is a Dolphins fan. He is extremely jealous of me getting to see my team win in the playoffs and play in 3 Super Bowls the last 30 years. In that time his team has been to 0 AFC Championship Games.
Different franchise. Different expectations. I can promise you if the Lions had made the SB and had just lost the way we did, they would be celebrating in the streets. It's not the same when you have a franchise that's been irrelevant for a good portion of the last 50 years vs one that has been relevant in that time span. It's why Dallas fans have been crying since 1995. They have been to the playoffs a lot, more than the 49ers since 1995. But they cry constantly bc for them anything short of a SB is failure…
There's expectations, but then there's b***hing just to b***h.
The "Super Bowl or bust" concept of being entertained is so stupid. By this logic, in the entire history of the 49ers, there have been 5 good days ever. Five. In 75 years. That's such a cynical way to be a fan.
Obviously winning the SB is the goal, but sometimes I think people just have no idea how to stop and smell the roses. We have it real good right now with Shanahan. Stable franchise, well run front office, excellent culture, and Chiefs aside - who everyone is losing to, mind you - a great product on the field.
Things don't always go your way and you just have to deal with it. Every other non-Chiefs team has to do the same, and vast majority of them are far worse off in the HC department.
