Why would any DC want to come here? Seriously? Our coordinator positions have led to numerous HC hires in the very recent past. So we fired Wilkes, now no one competent is going to want to come to one of the most talented defenses on a super bowl roster? If I only read posts from people like faithless, I'd think that Kyle was a cattle-prod wielding leper and this team a bottom dwelling clusterf**k of ineptitude.
Maybe because the competent ones ended up as head coaches rather quickly.

For sure he does. He does also post some insider stuff (49ers related) that turned out to be right. Trust me I totally question those accounts, I've called him out as fake news. He's earned my trust. Somewhat.

Pretty crazy that it's been more than 8 days, Combine starts in three days and we still don't know who it is. I like to think they're just doing due diligence but my pessimism is growing they should've had the guy in mind before firing Wilks…

Is their #1 choice saying no? Or still mulling it over? Or is there a contract mess they need to work out? All of the above?

Why is a DC necessary for the Combine? That's really more of a deal for scouts and personnel executives. They're going to be able to review all the data from the Combine and set up visits with players afterwards.

With all the rumors saying it's internal I really hope it's kocurek. I would be very disappointed if it was Sorensen. I feel like with Chris. We've already wanted him to be that so the idea of having a second option that's not as good as the first is not that enticing it's almost like settling
