😂. Maybe. Or maybe the top 3 choices said "nah, I'm good if you're just gonna meddle in my style of coaching."

Yes, the realistic DC candidates who are unemployed at the moment have so many options clearly.

Just killing time here and just messing around here. Until we find out who is our next DC, who knows really where the team is at in regard to this process. I know this will take time and still trying to get used to the "no Leak" style of this management. So we just wait.

It feels like they've already made a decision, just haven't announced it yet.

What makes you think that?

"I want Viper"

I'll take Staley but if it's internal

No to Staley

With all the rumors saying it's internal I really hope it's kocurek. I would be very disappointed if it was Sorensen. I feel like with Chris. We've already wanted him to be that so the idea of having a second option that's not as good as the first is not that enticing it's almost like settling

Why don't people comprehend he's said he has no desire to be a DC

Inside hire = epic fail. The guy that wasn't good enough last year is good enough for this year. Wreaks of desperation and/or power move by Shanahan because he decided that we lost the SB bc he was not in control on the defensive side of the ball.

this "era" is going to end up like a Greek tragedy

Different franchise. Different expectations. I can promise you if the Lions had made the SB and had just lost the way we did, they would be celebrating in the streets. It's not the same when you have a franchise that's been irrelevant for a good portion of the last 50 years vs one that has been relevant in that time span. It's why Dallas fans have been crying since 1995. They have been to the playoffs a lot, more than the 49ers since 1995. But they cry constantly bc for them anything short of a SB is failure…

They've been crying because they've
been one and done in a majority of their playoff appearances since 1996 and haven't been to a conference championship since that same year.

Correct. Cowboys crying is because they haven't even appeared in NFC CG. It's not specifically SB related, though it is of course driven by SB.

You think Cowboy fans celebrate next year if they make NFCC game and lose ? I suspect they'll have the same thoughts and feelings that our fans do. Way different than Detroit, Carolina, Cleveland, etc make the championship game. Come on people. This is a layup. I know we all like to laugh at Cowboy fans because they can't get past the Divsional but the reality is they have won a SB more recently than us. At the end of the day, we're not much different except we have 3 SB losses to show for it

Jesus Christ Debbie downer, let's throw dirt on the box once we know for sure at least. f**k.

Some people don't pay close attention, while others have short term memory issues.
I think I'd be fine with Bullocks. I'm not expecting a splash hire and I don't really think that's what needs to happen to win the big one.

Not me, I don't want any of these in-house hires. Sure they may turn out to be good, but they really do seem like Plan C, D, E and F.
I don`t understand why its TAKING so damn long Kyle! its not rocket science.

If Cowboys make it to NFC CG next year and lose their fans will be optimistic for 2025 now that they finally got over that hurdle again.

Cowboys also have 3 SB losses, BTW.

*Edit* I'm trying to find an alternate video. I will replace this one if I am successful.
