When the Chiefs lost the 2018 AFC Championship, they fired their DC the next day and hired Spags three days later. They didn't **** around for two weeks just because it was February. That's the difference between an organization that actually knows how to win Super Bowls and one that doesn't.

I feel like we haven't requested any interviews elsewhere or it would've been reported already by someone.

We know we've interviewed all our internal candidates, but we obviously have some external ones.

If they're telling them not to leak, it would have to be either Vrabel or Staley who they talked to. Maybe Lynn but that would probably get out.

Cause he sucked eggs has a HC. And personally I don't think he would be a good fit. Heck the raiders scored 63 points on his defense.

Yes he sucked as a head coach, but the 49ers wouldn't be hiring him as a head coach. And why wouldn't he be a good fit, he worked well with McVay, a Shanahan disciple. Its not like McVay had to call a timeout to scold him about calling a play. And so what 63 points was scored on his defense, Saleh and Ryans gave up 40 points too, the only difference is the Raiders were driving up the score. And besides, the 49ers defense will be backed by a top 5 offense. I only wish Staley was the DC in this past Super Bowl.

Would be nice to get BB or Carroll in here but that doesn't seem likely at all. Vrabel knows what it takes to beat the AFC teams, he's faced them throughout his whole career.

Staley is pure, hot, organic garbage! He got lucky and fooled the F***K out of someone into hiring his lame ass to be a HC. His bread and butter was suppose to be defense, but he didn't do s**t with Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa, Derwin James, etc. The defense digressed while he was there. That s**t doesn't happen with other good defensive minded head coaches (BB, Carroll, Saleh, Ryans, etc.).

Yah Staley is not my first choice or my second or third. But with rumors of Belichick and Vrabel sitting out the year, there possibly went my first and second choices. Its coming down to Rex Ryan, Ron Rivera, Pete Carroll (probably will sit out the season too) and Brandon Staley. I'm really hoping they don't go with a in-house hire or first time DC.
