This is it before the window closes. The urgency has to be there.

What they'll end up doing: Stand pat and run it back with the same core. Decline as injuries from another deep run pile and the hangover from another heartbreaking loss is over the team, Rams take over the NFC West

That's what they essentially did this season. Hargrave. Young. Last season CMC. They went all in and still came up short. Instead of an 11 point loss, they came closer and only lost by 4. To a diminished KC team. It wasn't Mahomes. It was Kyle. That was the difference…

A diminished Chiefs team that just went through the hardest DVOA path to a SB win ever. Only allowed over 22 points once throughout the season I believe. Now a 3 time SB champion in 6 years, getting to the conference title game in all 6 (good for the 2nd longest streak in NFL history).

Pretty moronic.

We just need a few more gold jackets on O to make it fully KS10 proof

I don't really get the 'well who you would hire argument'.. as if there are no good coaches on earth, other than Kyle. You have HOF coaches just free agents right now. Maybe shake this team up and get a new voice in there to lead. Kyle is a known big game goofball. So we can even be back in the SB (which will be hard) and spotted a double digit lead (again, hard) and he may very well find his way to the L, yet again, like in the NFCCG vs LA, or his 3 SBs.

How many future gold jackets you see on our O?

They will attempt to do the same thing everyone tries to do, including the Chiefs more recently, and that is to try and get younger while retaining their best players. All of this hinges on how successful the team is in replacing expensive talent with up and coming talent. Again, they have Patrick Mahomes, but they are a model of how to get younger and cheaper while maintaining competitiveness on the field. As an interesting sidenote, anyone thinking the cap increase will help with Aiyuk may be jumping the gun. You don't think his negotiating team are aware of the cap increase? They will surely bump their demands (think % of cap).

The market is set annually by free agency. He will get a contract somewhere in the top five wrs. His agent can stomp his feet all he wants. B. A. Has not proven that he is more talented than any of the top five wrs so his contract should reflect that.
We can afford HAM until we have to pay Purdy.

Not many. That's why Kyle won't win one. Couldn't do it with the most talented cast….twice (thrice if you want to count Atlanta). He's a clown in big games, but keep sipping the Kool-Aid as long as those silver / bronze metals keep flowing…

It's called DENIAL. keep saying in your head that no one is better and it makes it easier to stomach another SB loss with a superior roster…
