No but it would start to make a strong case for it.

Not firing him now should be the start of making the case, we still look like we're in preseason mode.

Thats hard to answer. It builds a case like the one poster said but what if he figures it out next year? Then this is moot. I'm not advocating in keeping him but i sure do remember a lot of folks on here calling for Saleh's head his first year as DC. Same with Wilks who didn't get a second year.

I hope we do go in a different direction and bring in someone with experience. Get a recently fired HC.
It's 3 pm. Why hasn't he been fired or demoted and replaced by Brandon Staley yet?

I just saw a quote today that Kyle is taking the blame for Sorensen? Wow.

"I'm very satisfied with Nick... Some of the mistakes we've made, I don't think that's a schematic issue. That's a fundamental issue. That starts with me..." -Shanahan today.

I want his a$$ out of Town after the season (so we can get a higher draft pick until then)
Should be gone already.

I'm trying to verify if this is real or not. I can't find anything anywhere else with this quote.

This isn't an endorsement. It's what a coach says to get through the season before firing him.

the fundamental issue is he doesn't want to empower a strong DC to own that half of the ball. he wants to micro manage someone who is running his brand of D.

And in other news the #1 D in the nfl is the Eagles, coached by Vic Fangio. The Eagles were #24 last year.
Coaching matters Kyle ! They don't need fo be your buddies.

For those who werent old enough, his father got fired after he kept his DC throughout the years despite their D poor performance…

« … It included a historic collapse with Denver becoming the first team since divisional play started in 1967 to blow a three-game lead with three games left.
The Broncos' defense gave up 448 points, third worst in the NFL, including 112 during the three-game collapse at the end. It was ranked 29th in yards allowed and tied for last in the NFL with a minus-17 turnover margin… »

If he keep sorensen (one or) two more years, cute Jed could get rid of him
But right now i still believe its media talk not to throw his DC under the bus
