Jim Shorts not looking too good
I think if we do move on from Sorensen, they'll look into bringing in Ulbrich.

He was one of the main guys Kyle wanted last season, but the Jets wouldn't let him go.

NYJ is doing so bad this year. D looks terrible even.

Ulbrich shouldn't be anywhere near a top option.

It's 3 pm. Why hasn't he been fired or demoted and replaced by Brandon Staley yet?

I just saw a quote today that Kyle is taking the blame for Sorensen? Wow.

"I'm very satisfied with Nick... Some of the mistakes we've made, I don't think that's a schematic issue. That's a fundamental issue. That starts with me..." -Shanahan today.

Sounds like cover in order keep his buddy on the team
coulda went after Fangio and instead they went with this. they thought this would be better than Fangio. think about that.

He should have been fired today. Awful, awful, awful.

Fangio was hired by Philadelphia on Jan 27, a day before we played Detroit in the NFCCG.
we might of had a shot to hire him instead of Wilkes in 2023, but who knows what Fangio wanted.

Thanks for the fact check. Some people like to make things up

Oh, those pesky facts. Also, went after Spags and he turned them down. Sorensen has been putrid though.

In 2023, Fangio came in for an interview, I don't think we made an offer though.

Too bad, he took the #24 eagles D in 2023 to the #1 D in 2024. Plus he lives in the peninsula during the offseason with his family. Would have been a shorter commute for him.

Practice what you preach.

All you do is argue with people. You're arguing in here and you're arguing with others in the Shanahan thread.

We had Fangio in the building and didn't make him an offer, why?

Probably because boy genius and his ego.
Sorenson shouldn't have a job right now.
I don't think Sorensen was ever supposed to be the guy. They had a chance to hire him over Wilks in the first place but declined. Instead the new search dragged on far too long and at the end they were stuck with Sorensen. If they really liked him then, he would've been the guy without a long drawn out process.

They were forced to hire him because other higher names said hell no. Who would want to coach for a guy that will fire you after one season? Especially after the DC just held Mahomes to one regulation TD that wasn't even his fault as it was Kyle's special teams he openly allowed to suck for years.... The DC gets all the blame while Shanny gets nothing. 5-7 is ok and you get every little excuse made but holding Mahomes to one regulation TD gets you kicked to the curb.

Why would anyone want to be in that extremely toxic environment?
