Kyle needs to drop his demands for a scheme and just hope to land a good DC who can get the most out of the players we have.

Getting Schwartz from Cleveland is my wish.

Totally agree with this, and it seems like the wide-9 is very suspect vs the run unless you have a DeForest Bukner on your D-line.

Kyle wanted Bill and he's doesn't run anything close to what we run. Staley who's the assistant HC and defensive assistant is a Fangio guy. He doesn't run that.

Folks gotta understand that you can't just toss out a new scheme and call it a day. You gotta have the right players to run said scheme.

right now we got a billion 3 techs that are penetrators. We don't have those 2 gapping guys. We're getting more man coverage DBs so that helps.

I was a fan of Brown when he was picked. Dude has played awful. Horrible angles, missed tackles and blown assignments.

Buck wasn't amazing vs the run. AA was the real run defender imo.

I feel like our LBers and S have played like s**t. No Bosa to set the edge is a problem. Floyd sucks at that (and hasn't been great with getting pressure).

I felt Buckner's presence on that D line made everyone look better, but I'm not gonna take anything away from Armstead he was a beast too during that time. I was merely using Buck as a example.

But yes, the LB's and Safeties have been garbage aside from Mustapha who has Greenlaw-like explosiveness. They really need to bring in someone to put Brown on the bench. I thought the signing of Gipson would've moved Mustapha to Browns spot and Gipson back to his old spot. Not sure why it's taking these coaches so long to bench players, Campbell f**kin sucks and not even he is fully benched.

Let's just fire the guy and bring in the best DC coordinator we can find. My guess is that Kyle is in his weakest position in the organization that he's ever been so perhaps Jed or the front office can convince Kyle to not micro-manage the defense scheme which limits the DC coaching candidates.
