My money is on Jeff Ulbrich if and when they make a change. Don't get me wrong I'd take Saleh over Ulbrich but I just get this feeling that Saleh will go with another familiar face other than Shanahan. Ulbrich knows Shanahan and Ulbrich I bet would love to get back to the Bay. I don't see Ulbrich becoming a HC any time soon either. As for Gym Shorts, I don't think his personality meshes with Kyle Shanahan, just my opinion of course.
Why don't you see him becoming a HC soon. If he turns the defense around there will be teams looking to hire him. He's had more years as a DC than Ryans did before he got hired.
Exactly!!! He's had more years as a DC and didn't become a HC. Its not like he didn't have good defenses either.

I'll let you decide? But think about this when Saleh called plays he didn't beat KC. But when Ulbrich did, they won.

If it's 12/04/25 and he's still the DC we will know why 2025 was also a failure and it will be Kyle and John's final game with the team.

Huh you don't see how that's relevant? The relevance is in the play calling. If Ulbrich called the plays wouldn't that be his defense? Also pretty sure the Jets beat KC last season, didn't you look it up??

But even if they had and Ulbrich called the plays I still fail to see what point you were trying to make with the Saleh vs Ulbrich as the play caller comment.

I think Kyle will make an argument to keep him as DC, citing "continuity". Unlike Wilks, he's coach's buddy. He will toe the line as per Kyle's demands.

One game is a small sample size. Every game is different and beating a team once doesn't mean you can do it every time.

The 11- 1 Detroit Lions have a league high 13 defensive players on IR, 6 more than any other team, and yet their DC Aaron Glenn has still managed to have his defense perform at a high enough level by be creative with the guys he has healthy. They have backups to backups and recently signed guys that have been out of football helping win games..
On the other hand 49ers have Sorensen who can't figure things out with a mostly healthy defense. Take one guy out and his defense gets even worse. Good coaching matters.

After tonight of Lions final 4 opponents, 3 of the teams will not be easy. They have Buffalo coming to yo their place next game. They play at Chicago after that, and close out at home against Minnesota in a game that might decide the NFCN.
