49ers DC Nick Sorensen

Almost every drive Detroit had resulted in points.

That's not the 49ers defense we are use to seeing. Nick Sorensen has got to go!!!!

Two years ago we had a top 3 defense in the NFL, and tonight we went an entire game without forcing a punt.

heck last year we were 3rd in points on O and on D

As I and many others have said, our defensive problems are in large part a coaching problem. Believe it or not we have a TON of talent out in the field still, and poor coaching/poor preparation makes it seem like we have a junk unit.

I think the nail in the coffin was seeing Lynch pissed off on that blown 4th and goal play for a TD, LaPorta was wide open!!!

Nick Sorensen has got to go, this is not even comparable to Robert Saleh's first year as a DC. Saleh didn't have Nick Bosa, Charvarius Ward, Demo Lenoir, Leonard Floyd, Maliek Collins. And Saleh didn't get to already observe the team he was on like Sorensen has been.

He has to be gone. Zero innovation, zero mystery, just boring, lame, losing Defense.

How come they never panned to him at all during the game. The television showed Aaron Glenn a few times. If they did though I must've missed it.

Not to mention takeaways, I swear the 49ers gotta be last in takeaways. They have 9 INT's so far, frickin Lions Safety leads the league with 9 INT's. f**king pathetic!!!!

Edit: My bad they had 10 INT's.

Rewatched the 4th and Goal St. Brown TD a few times and what a travesty of defense.

There were 3 guys to cover their 2 guys and both of their guys were open. St. Brown got the TD but Goff could've easily hit Williams for the TD as well.

I'm not sure what happened but the only thing I can think of is St. Brown and Williams crisscrossed their routes at the snap of the ball and completely broke our defenders brains because it looks like everyone thought they were supposed to get the other guys which left both guys open.

If that was the only execution flub I could pin it solely on the players screwing it up but we've seen mistakes across the board over the course of the year. I mean all an offense has to do on 3rd down is motion into a bunch formation and they'll get someone open to convert.

Fire him and bring back Saleh

They assumed it was someone's 'cool' uncle that had been given a sideline pass for the day as a treat.

I'm not a Sorensen lover but I feel like everyone expected us to give up 40+ with our inferior players.

Expected it because of their poor performance all year suggested they would.

Injuries or not, there is still Bosa, Warner, Lenoir, Green. They shouldnt be this bad.

Lots of issues are communication and blown assignments..i.e. coaching.
