If anything happens, the most likely scenario is Staley getting move to DC.
That would be vomit-inducing and I'd lead the parade for Shanahan to be fired.
So who is this savior DC that you want?
Lets see who is out there after we see what staffs are fired after this week, but I would definitely bring back Saleh to start.
why Saleh, fans like you wanted him fired his first two years. and his defense in NY wasn't anything to be worried about after 4 years
Another new to the DC position will need time to figure things out.. but will you just want them fired again ?
What do you mean fans like me? How do you know what I wanted or didn't want?
He had one of the best defenses in football in '22 and '23.
def not the best in those years.
I say fans like you as i see that your not a person of patience.
I get impatient when it's week 17 and there are major coverage busts in the secondary. When I see players putting their hands up multiple times in a game that tells me that there is frustration that it's happening. That should not happen at this point in the year and tells me that the team is being poorly coached.
Saleh got a pass from me early because there was no talent here. Ryans started out slow but by the end of the year in 2021 his scheme was humming and playing at a high level. I wanted Wilks fired after the cover 0 blitz nonsense at the end of the 1st half against Minnesota last year - you can't be that dumb and coach my football team.
That is not happening with the Sorenson/Staley defense. Blown coverages, lack of creativity with pressures (speaks to their problems on 3rd down), no answers to stopping the run when a team lines up in 11, 21, or 31 personnel. (speaks to their problems in the RZ) None of that has been fixed.
