Not sure if that would happen because that would mean switching to the 3-4.

I think a year here learning our scheme would mean he might actually run a new kinda hybrid.

So who is this savior DC that you want?

Lets see who is out there after we see what staffs are fired after this week, but I would definitely bring back Saleh to start.
why Saleh, fans like you wanted him fired his first two years. and his defense in NY wasn't anything to be worried about after 4 years

Another new to the DC position will need time to figure things out.. but will you just want them fired again ?

Saleh's defense in NY was good. It fell of after he left.

What do you mean fans like me? How do you know what I wanted or didn't want?

He had one of the best defenses in football in '22 and '23.

I get impatient when it's week 17 and there are major coverage busts in the secondary. When I see players putting their hands up multiple times in a game that tells me that there is frustration that it's happening. That should not happen at this point in the year and tells me that the team is being poorly coached.

Saleh got a pass from me early because there was no talent here. Ryans started out slow but by the end of the year in 2021 his scheme was humming and playing at a high level. I wanted Wilks fired after the cover 0 blitz nonsense at the end of the 1st half against Minnesota last year - you can't be that dumb and coach my football team.

That is not happening with the Sorenson/Staley defense. Blown coverages, lack of creativity with pressures (speaks to their problems on 3rd down), no answers to stopping the run when a team lines up in 11, 21, or 31 personnel. (speaks to their problems in the RZ) None of that has been fixed.

Saleh gets a pass, but sorenson who is also not playing with major talent especially at the LB/S/DT level and key guys hurt throughout the year needs to be fired?

I don't know who the answer is, but changing Coordinators all the time doesn't work.. as we can already see

I hear you, but it's a combination of me not feeling it with this guy and I hate that we are forced to one scheme that I feel is a bit played out and requires much. I wish we could get a defensive coach who can simply bring the best out of what he has. Sorensen is not creative at all imo. I know I'm half dreaming but you get the idea.

Those 4th quarter leads given up are on the D whether it be DC, the players, or the GM drafting on signing FAs. The DC has the ability to mix up calls, but instead he was predictable and vanilla so he was pedestrian in my view.

i'm just saying i hope people have patience for the next DC if we hire a new one and don't keep doing this every year

i mean we had campbell and rookies to pick on.. look at what happened when Dre came back

But both the players and coach needs continuity for it to work

We should fire Nick Sorenson since he gave up 40 points, which is bad for us. I believed he lacked adequate strategy for sacking a quarterback by diverse defense lines, linebackers, cornerbacks, or free safety. He is extremely embarrassed by the defense coordinator's worst play calls! I have watched enough of the games. He is awful at teaching the players defense and moving around the wrong way.
Bring back Robert Saleh..

at any cost.

I wonder if he is going to get a lot of HC offers. I don't think too many will blame him as the Jets are a total clown show and AR was a washed up fraud. I don't think too many teams seeking a HC would hold too much Jet weight over his head. His DC days may be over.

I would love to see him back. Make him highest paid in league.
