could be another option. I know bengals D weren't very good this year, but he has had some good units in the past

He's had one Top 10 unit in like a decade as DC. His defenses were bend and them completely breakdown far too often. I will give him credit for coming up with some creative gameplans against Mahomes but the overall track record is not good.
I only want Saleh or Schwartz TBH. I'd move Sorensen to ST coordinator if we can't get a better name.

I don't see Saleh coming back.

My money is on Jeff Ulbrich as DC.

That would be awesome.

Why would we want him? Jets defense has been bad after Saleh got canned and he was put in charge of everything. Am I missing something lol

They didn't suck on D when that's all he was focused on. Obviously, he got thrown to the wolves as interim and was very much overwhelmed. He's nowhere near ready to coach an entire team and plus who the F wants to coach Aaron 'Naked and Afraid' Rodgers

20th in points and 3rd in yards is not bad at all.

That would never vibe well. I think the team is hoping these east coast teams clean house fast so its an easier call based on whos available later on etc.

Saleh has repeatedly said that he wants to stay close to home and now the Bengals job is open

Bengals DC job open. I'd say that's the 1st choice for any available DC.

Why? We also have plenty of talent on D and are one year removed from a Super Bowl appearance.

Why do you say that?

Not to mention that's a brutal division where you have to defend Lamar twice a year. Right now the NFC West's scariest QB is a middle-aged Stafford.

It's not. They don't spend money on defense. For all the Niners faults at the very least they are willing to consistently spend big dollars on improving the defense.

They have the 4th most expensive defense in the NFL. Their problem is that they spend money on all the wrong players. In that regard, Anarumo was a bit of a scapegoat since they let guys like Bates and Reader walk and replaced them with vastly inferior players.

So, they're the AFC Niners.

49ers are 4th. Bengals are 21st.
