I'm not nervous. Nick has a right to put his case together on where things went wrong and how he's still the right guy to lead the defensive side of the ball.

It's only fair to provide some time to prepare and conduct those conversations. From there, Kyle can evaluate with players, coaches, and advisors. He can also see who's available at DC as more teams make their end of season decisions.

I appreciate thst Kyle generally is patient with coaches, but considering Ulbrich was his top choice, I'm surprised he isnt going after him.
Nick must be making his case to Kyle, needing more talent. 3 more Bosa's on the Dline, 2 more Warner next to Warner, and 5 Lenoir's in the secondary

Maiocco now thinks Sorensen will be fired and the 49ers will go after Jeff Ulbrich

I'm down with that. Admittedly biased though cause Ulbrich played for both Hawai'i and the 49ers lol

If there is a change great, but I'm not sold on Ulbrich..... if he is our new dc and makes us good again then ill eat some crow lol

Ulbrich hasn't been officially let go and he's supposedly going to interview to make his case for the Jets HC spot.

Odds are he won't become the permanent HC for the Jets but you still have to let the process play out before you can make moves.

Is he still considered a top DC?
Wilkes is 100x the coordinator as Sorensen, and he was fired 3 days after season ended so Sorensen's ass better be gone by tomorrow

Didn't Shanahan try to get him for DC but he turned him down and he had to "settle" for Saleh?

This is why Shanahan must make a decision now on Sorensen. Teams like Bengals and Colts and teams that will.bring entire new head coaches will be looking for DCs. He sits on his ass, he will settle for Brandon Staley.
