Also I don't care how bad your personel is ..... the stat that teams had scored 14 times in a row in the redzone .... you just can't overlook that

That dumbf**k mentioned in an interview that a missed tackle "can be a good miss tackle at times"

Lol I was completely blown away by that comment. I was certain before he was a complete f**king idiot and that cemented it.

Dumb quote but I think he probably means that sometimes a guy can blow up a play and not quite make the tackle but slow him down enough to where the rest of the team can still get a TFL. Or something like that.

Even in that context it doesn't make much sense. How often is a tackle missed and the guy goes BACKWARDS? Sure, maybe it happens once in a great while, but mostly people gain additional yards after a missed tackle.

Sorensen is an idiot

Yes you're both right, and yes, he's still an idiot he should just not talk lol

A missed tackle is only forgivable when (lucky) your teammates pick up after you... we had way too many last year and worse this year

Lol you criticize Ward for how he is dealing with the death of his child, some of us called you out on it and you didn't like that much, kinda your problem

When it comes to my comment on Sherm, perhaps my words did come across as judgmental. I don't think I have much sympathy for those who have multiple DUIs. Not that things should be used against someone forever but at the same time, his behaviors warrant an area of caution, as the legal incidents with Sherm were fairly recent. Not using an Uber or Lyft in 2024 when intoxicated is pretty reckless. And wanting to break through someone's door, yeah. So, no..personally, I wouldn't want to hire him as DC at this time. An advisor of some kind? I guess, as he knows his stuff but as far as a DC? No.

Is he?

outside of the obvious guys that are available. I would like SF to look at the DB coach for KC again Dave Merritt.

But why? He's been an NFL assistant for 25 years and no one has ever sought fit to make him a coordinator before. I can't think of a single successful coordinator who was an assistant for that long before moving up.

Guy won 2 SBs as a secondary coach with the Giants, was with them forever and neither they nor anyone else seemed to think highly enough of him to give him the job. Nor did Arizona. He was already in-house with KC and they didn't give him the job either.

He also acted unprofessionally after we interviewed him. He went on some media interview and talked tash about us and our players.

Not sure about that Chiefs guy, but Sorensen sucked.

I guess this all boils down to what you call a missed tackle.
If your LB reads a screen early, splits the lead blockers, and gets a body on the ball carrier. However it still is a starting NFL RB who was able to muscle you off, but the S, CB, LB2, and DE are now swarming.

That IS a missed tackle, and the s**tty LB who can't take on 2 OL and a RB had zero to do with the play failing. It was the other 4 who faced no resistance that get the credit.
