If Shannahan can't do better than Sorensen that's sad.

Shanahan seems a run an on-the-job training school for defense coordinators rather than get someone proven. You can't expect to promote someone with no DC experience when you are in a Superbowl window. If we were rebuilding, I can understand that.

But lack of effort or no excitement from the players has nothing to do with injuries. Yes we had a lot of injuries, The Detroit Lions currently have 13 players on defense on IR. Yeah, Lions D have bad games and the offense pulls them out, but you can still see the fire and hunger in the players,. They want to play and win for their coach.

It is gonna matter, the defense looked like they quit on Sorensen this final game vs the Cards. The past DC's like DeMeco Ryans in 2021, when they went on a losing streak they still played hard for him. Ryans was on the sidelines pumping up his guys communicating with them. Sorensen just looks like a dumbass on the sidelines with his blank look staring at the field. I mean if you're not gonna communicate with your defense then go in the booth.

This year is the most confused I've ever seen our defense.

Players have not openly vouched for him to return.

Players earlier in the year talked about not being prepared for certain things.

We tied franchise worst records.

No way can you allow that to stick around.
