He'd get on the plane.

He's getting paid by the Jets to sit at home for another year. I don't think money is a primary motivator right now. That's why a lot of fired coaches take a year off. You can live on someone else's dime and sort things out, get your mind right.

Saleh on the other hand seems like kind of a maniac that really does love the grind.

Embarrassing if you ask me.

Stop whining!!

Some guys can handle it shoot, Vance Joseph returned to Denver as DC after being their HC at one point.

One more year. Hopefully this time next year we will be rejoicing as a fanbase as that clown empties his desk. Time for a new regime in this place !

Only on the internet you have some random nobody calling a head coach thats been to 2 super bowls a clown. What a time to be alive!!!
Dr likes to use the reverse jinx... he's 100% wrong on all his takes.. most recent, we don't fire Sorensen

If we had kept him then that proves Kyle should go because he's too stubborn.

We fire him and it proves Kyle should go because he made the wrong DC call.

Right or wrong, there's always an angle he could take to justify his sad agenda.

I'm really hoping he gets the gift of a great DC like Andy Reid did, then he can finally punch our ticket to the finish line. I don't want to go back to the Nolan, Kelly, Erickson, Jimmy T years. Harbaugh really did save this team from being the Browns and helped build the stadium
Shanny and Lynch did the right thing with cutting the DC and STC. He probably should have let Sorensen go, but we don't know last year when he was the 5th choice if Kyle told him to try it out and if you stink you'll still have your old job.
For now let's see who he interviews and if he takes someone unemployed at the moment or poaches a up and coming talent on a playoff team.

Wouldn't that be a good reason for him to come back? Unless you meant to type something else.

I think that meant South Florida I think

Ah. I didn't realize his family was down there. Can't blame him for wanting to be with his family down there. He would be a good fit for the dolphins.

i hope we can get him or ulbrich. Need someone that can get the boys back into form. These last two years have been gut wrenching

Hopefully never, so we can watch you all suffer in misery.
kyle seemed to have a lot harder time getting rid of nick, in fact kyle doesn't even want to get rid of nick, he wants him in some role not DC.

so you wonder, did kyle remove nick from DC or was he told to, by the head bossman, jed? thoughts?

Acho called out Kyle on his "friendship decisions", which haven't been in the team's best interest.

I didn't like the hire, but I think he knew two things - he had to move on from Wilkes, and he basically had nobody else to choose from because they were in the SB. Kinda screwed regardless. I think the players on exit interviews told him Wilkes isn't it, and same for Sorensen etc.

Thats why a guy like Ben Johnson or Aaron Glenn would be such a risk in his first year. If the Lions make the SB what kind of staff will he even have access to?

Actually the exact quote was he will either retain him as DC or move him laterally to STs because he's coach's buddy. Seems like that's exactly what might happen.

I will, however, enjoy reading your spin on how moving Sorenson to STs was a great move because he was in charge of the 26th ranked specials teams units in Jacksonville a decade ago….
Thread name needs to be changed to "Staff Member Nick Sorensen" lol

Do you have video of that? I would love to see it.

Kyle's priorities were on full display when he showed up drunk to the super bowl.
