Lol exactly. Nick Swayze is thinking about those glassy waves, how he needs more Carmex, higher SPF and waxing his board bruh. No idea why Kyle hired him..makes me wonder, man. Kyle makes some real bonehead decisions sometimes. This guy just isn't it. Interview with Kyle, "So, as you know, we are hiring for DC." "Cool man, like I can totally like do that, you wanna like crack a few beers and like paddle out with me? Full moon tonight bruh. Btw, like you should grow out your hair man, like we would vibe together." "You're hired."

I count the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months till Sorensen is fired and Saleh is back. I await, I await!!

I don't care if Saleh comes back. They still need someone that can cover fast receivers. They still need help at LB. Saleh isn't known for blitzing and this team isn't getting enough pressure with a 4 man rush. Until these things are fixed I don't care who the DC is.

Thing is Shanahan has full trust in Saleh, won't have to look over his shoulder ever game. Saleh doesn't blitz but he's gotten pressure with less talent, not to mention better CB's this time if he were to become the DC. Also don't doubt that if Ward leaves that they'll re-up the #1 CB spot.

This is basically Saleh's scheme that the 49ers are using. Maybe he can fire the players up a little more but without another good LB they'll still have trouble stopping the run. Bosa and company are still going to need to find a way to get to the QB. Maybe he can call more stunts. I think the D line talent was a little better when Saleh was here and the LBs were certainly better. They had Warner, Greenlaw, Al-Shaair and Kwion Alexander when healthy. The D line was Bosa, Jones, Buckner and Armstead. Jimmie Ward, Sherman, Taart and Mosely were the DBs. Not a bad group. It helps make a DC look good when you have those players.
The 2 biggest difference between Robert Salah and D. Ryan and our current defensive coordinator is the first 2 are players coaches. Their players love playing for those men trust them. There is no trust with what we have now. The second biggest difference is Salah and Ryan would and could adjust as the game went on. They adapted their scheme to the game that was being played against the niners. So far this year there are no changes being made with what is being thrown against us as the game goes on.
I'm totally all for bringing Sala back. I don't know if it would be this season however.
I'm listening to Dennis Brown on KNBR and he's addressing the defense and the problems he sees. I'm no defensive guru but I'm seeing the same thing he is. The D line isn't getting off the blocks. They engage the O linemen and they can't get by them with any consistency. I know some of you will say they're being held and that's probably true. Most O linemen hold. The D line has to defeat that. It comes wth the job and they know it. That's why you don't hear them whining about being held after very game. They have to start using some stunts or blitzes but they can't just expect to line up in front of guys that are usually bigger and stronger than they are and overpower them. Change up the look enough to confuse their blocking assignments because once those big guys grab onto the front of your jersey it's hard to get away.

According to PFF, so far this season we have stunted on 25.2% of opposing pass plays with a success rate of 34% (27th in the league)
Last season our success rate was 46%, #7 in the league. For some reason even when we run them we still aren't getting pressure

I agree I think the personnel needs more attention, we don't have the talent we need

Of course if Sorensen is fired that the defense will get an upgrade for whoever the new DC would be.

Blame guys like Bosa. Getting paid alot of money without the performance. We could have three good players for what we pay Bosa.

I don't really agree with that example. Bosa has been one of the only great players out there. I think it's too early to give a fair assessment based on stats, but he has 3 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR, and 6 TFL (3rd in the NFL). Not sure where he is on pressures, but he's making an impact. Honestly, Brissett should've had at least two intentional groundings not called that would've been sacks for Bosa. Just unlucky.

Don't forget his interception.
It is a shame Sorensen isn't a better at tackling. Oh sorry that would be the players. 46.3 tackling grade as a team. I mean all world Bosa leads the team in missed tackles. 17 missed against the Patriots and 12 against the Cardinals. 41 in 5 games. Hufunga, Bosa, Campbell, Brown and Mustapha seem to stand out in the poor tackling gig. Warner and Lenior always seem to be the best tacklers on the field. No help from the Defensive tackles either as we do not have a single big run stopper. I bet Wilkes sucked at tackling as well.

We can only hope they just crack a few brews. Both dudes are looking rough like they've both started sharing meth during their late nights.

How about the most miss tackles on the team with Campbell being a close second.
