Is there any good changes he brought to our defense? It seems like the only reason our defense is not absolutely terrible is because of the talent we currently have. He doesn't seem to be elevating anything.

Honestly better tonight. Bosa pressures, Warner plays, DB interceptions. Sure not perfect. But much better.

We were extremely lucky so many times.
Odum is terrible, the difference was insane when he went out there. Yiadom is a mix of decent and terrible. One play he'll be fine, the next an embarrassingly bad mistake. He got bailed out several times. Green showed he can hang out there just fine. Play him over Yiadom when Ward is healthy.
There were definitely a few defensively play calls I hated that reminded me of Wilks and I felt were way too soft.
We got caught several times with horrible mismatches after Seattle audibled and shifted. Andy Reid is going to see that and exploit it big-time if we don't fix it and prepare for that.
Overall, Sorensen is still pretty mid, but some of the issues come down to the fact that we're too injured. Kalia Davis got no pressure inside. Odum is a special teams guy only. Yiadom makes tons of mental mistakes. Brown is super inconsistent. Campbell is terrible but the only other LB capable of stopping the run.

It had nothing to do with Sorenson, and everything to do with Geno Smith. When the Seattle offense gained confidence, our defense did nothing to stop them. If not for a boneheaded INT to a rookie, Seattle would've completed the comeback and our offense would not have answered.
Sorenson is a liability. And I have no f**king clue what Staley's role is…

I have to agree with this. Doesn't feel like there's any schematic identity. Kinda tired of watching teams complete 9-15 yeard passes like we're playing prevent defense on every play. Nobody would ever compare Seattle's defense with ours but they're guys were draped all over our receivers.

Campbell being on the field on obvious passing downs for Seattle in the last 6 minutes of the fourth quarter made no sense. Can Sorensen not see Campbell is not a good coverage LB.

I expect a clinic from Reid next week. It seems most of our opponents have big plays ready for looks or matchups they dictate etc.

Soreinbutt had a good gameplan against Seattle. They did the typical can't stop anything in the second half routine, but they did have some crucial turnovers. Hopefully we hit a turning point with our young DC and he continues to get better

I agree with all of this. It was great to see the offense get going last night, but the defense is still terribly suspect. Geno bailed us out with some really poor decisions. And the defensive play calls down the stretch were especially strange. Campbell lined up in the slot was a real head-scratcher.

I would like to see more creativity like the Vikings or the Chiefs. I wonder if he might call more blitzes if Greenlaw was in there. He's good at that.

Did you see how Reid exposed our LBs after Greenlaw went down. I can see dope Sorenson putting Campbell on Kelce all day getting torched over and over…

To me the biggest concern is letting these players get past the safeties. Its happened in every game thus far. Seems like our safeties are not executing and getting caught with there pants down. Odom seems to be the biggest offender.

It is definitely the biggest concern. Hopefully if we can get healthy in the secondary, there is some combination that will work well for us. Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. Mustapha showed promise. Hopefully he is the answer but if he is not then when we get Huff back we can try turning to him. Green wasn't to bad at corner last night either. So hopefully there is a good defense on this roster somewhere and we just need to get healthy and figure out the combination that works.
